                      Fun with Washi Tape

Hi!  This is my card for this weeks challenge at Get Inky!  The challenge is to have fun with Washi tape. There are lots of  lovely Washi papers and they are a quick way to add colour to your card.

I had a selection of Washi tapes in my stash in colours of black, white and grey.   I think they make an interesting pattern for the background of this simple thank you card.  The elegant "thank you" sentiment is by Get Inky from their Cupcake collection of photoploymer stamps.  They can be  purchased here.

The banner I used to cut out the sentiment is by Stampin Up.  To complete my card I added red and white baker's twine and a few red pieces of bling.

Now it is your turn, get out your stash of Washi tape and create your card and enter it here for the Get Inky challenge.  Thank you for stopping by.

                      Birthday Fairy

I made this birthday fairy card for a birthday card challenge at Come and Get It Challenges. I used The Stamping Boutique's, the  sponsor of the challenge this week image called Birthday Fairy. The image was coloured with Copic Markers and a little Stickles glitter. The pattern paper is from my stash.

The sentiment I added is by A Muse Artstamps.  I think it is a perfect sentiment for this card.  To complete this card I just added some chocolate coloured bows with pearls and some pink pearls.

Inspiration card for Get Inky Challenges

Happy Mother's Day to all of you mom's out there.  We are having a Mother's Day/Flower Challenge this week at Get Ink

This is my inspiration for the challenge.

I chose to make a flower pot full of flowers for my card this week.  I made quite a few flowers and then piled them on after I had added my die cuts and leaves.   I made lots of flowers out of my scrape paper in my stash and edged them with Distress Inks.  I was not worried about how many I made because it is nice to have a supply of flowers already made up when you are working on different paper projects.

I added a sentiment from the Cupcake Photo Polymer stamp set to complete my card.  This set of stamps is just full of sentiments to be used with or without the cupcake stamp. I think it is such a great value.  Check out them out at Blue Moon Creations Crafting Station.

Supplies that I used to make my flower pot are

                      Spellbinders Flower Pot Die
                      Maryinne Designs die
Doily die cut with a Cricut
                      Pearls from my stash
Paper and Ribbon from my stash
                      Leaves die cut by Sizzex
                      Martha Stewart  Flower Punch
                      Sentiment by Get Inky

                            Shabby Chic Challenge at Fitztown

This is the shabby chic card I made for this week's challenge at Fitztown, hope it inspires you to join in the challenge. I used this elegant vintage Fitztown image  that I paper pieced her dress and distressed the pattern papers I layered her on.

To carry on the shabby chic theme I then added a bow made out of some antique gold seam binding and old lace in black and gold  that I found in our local thrift store.  To complete the card I added a fancy die cut by Spellbinders' Heartfelt Creations called Ornate Gateway and some bling.

Now it is your turn to make your shabby chic card, there still lots of time left to join in on this challenge, just create your card and enter it here

                            Thanks for stopping by.
