A Beautiful Flower

Come and Get It has another great challenge this week and the theme is black and white plus one.  Sami Stamps is the sponsor of this challenge and I have used an image called Beautiful Flower.  I love this simple flower.  It is so elegant.

https://www.etsy.com/shop/SamiStamps

I chose to use the colour gold to go with my black and white. I thought that it added to the elegance of the flower. The beautiful dies I used for the card are by Spellbinders.  To complete my card I edge part of the frame with a Gold Leaf pen and added some gold gems.

Hope you will join us this week for this challenge.  Thank you for stopping by and have a very creative week.

Anything but a Card Challenge at Holly Jolly

It is a Anything but a Card Challenge this week at Holly Jolly and I decided to make a gift bag out of a brown paper lunch bag.

The image I used is from the fabulous collection of stamps from Bugaboo, one of our sponsors this week.  The image is called Noel Birds.

I coloured them with Copic Markers, gell pen and a glitter pen. I layered the frony of my bag with scraps of Christmas papers from my stash.

I added a red and white sticker and some jute to complete the project.  Thank you for stopping by and I hope you will join in this week and show us your Christmas project.

It is all about Time

This week at Crafty Cardmakers it is a themed challenge, "time".  I decided this challenge to make a collage mixed media board with the time theme.  I had this men's watch a friend gave me to use someday and I immediately thought about it for this challenge.

I used lots of different elements in the collage including star, butterflies, flowers, bottle, old sewing bobbin, jewelry,  numbers, tiles gears, stencil, and keys.  I also used many products for the collage including torn drawing papers, gesso, wall board binding, acrylic paint, Inka Gold, ink sprays, distressed embossing powder, stamps, finds from the thrift stores and micro beads. Had lots of fun with the theme.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you will join us this week for our time challenge. Pop over to our challenge blog to see the inspiring creations of the design team.

Feel Better Soon

I made this simple tag as my inspiration for August at SLS Lines.  I loved this rainbow and cloud image created by Sal at SLS Lines aand decided to make a tag for a gift for someone that needs some cheering up.

The image is called Rainbow with Fluffy Heart Clouds and can be found here. I coloured  it with my Ink Intense Pencils and layered it on a tag make from some gell print paper from my stash. I cut a few on my hearts out and scattered them on the tag. I added a ribbon and a stamped sentiment and the tag was complete.

You can find SLS Digital Stamps here. They have a great selection of images to chose from.   I hope you will join in this month's 3  or more layer challenge, just create you card or project and enter it here

Have a creative day and remember to stop by the challenge blog regularly to see the other inspiring creations of the very talented design team.

Mixed Media Memory Box

Time for another great challenge at Creative Artiste this month. The mixed media theme is anything goes.  Our sponsor this month is StamplorationsStamplorations has a great selection of stamps and stencils.  I have used a weathered wood stencil to make my memory box.

Top view of the box.

I used a plain dollar store wooden box for my box which I used a weather wood stencil to give the box the texture and look of an old box. I created the texture with molding past and used three brown tone colours of acrylic paint.  My focal point of the box is a collage using several photo cards from Tim Holtz's found relatives cards, Tim Holtz film strip die, tag that I stamped with a love poem stamp, and real film strips from my stash.

To complete my project I added several findings including  metal corners, locket, key, jute trim, and a clock.

Altered Canvas

New Challenge at Altered Eclectics this month and this is my project I made to inspire you to join in the fun.

This canvas I made for a present for one of my sister's retirement.  The picture is of  our mother taken when she was young.  I think the picture was taken about 1948 and was one of my favourite pictures of her.

The background of the canvas was created using acrylic paints, parts of a napkin, doilies, stencils, a frame and tag. Once my background was created I added my photograph and then layered my finding, butterflies, pearls, key,  and flowers.  I hope my sister enjoys my gift to her.

Remember to pop over to the Altered Eclectics Challenge blog to see the beautiful projects the design team  have created to inspire you.
