Upright Z Fold Card

It is my turn to chose the theme this week at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges and I thought it would be fun to do Christmas Trees as the theme.

Looking around Pinterest I came across this Upright Z Fold card that I wanted to try and thought the Christmas tree would work well for this style of card. I stamped my tree rubber stamp in a Tsukineko Essential Glue pad and then on to a piece a suede paper and then coated the tree in Royal Blue glitter.  I stacked my glittered Christmas tree on several paper layers of paper and added some bling and a snowflake to complete the card.

Queen of Hearts

Shell chose a card sketch this week for the challenge at Come and Get it Challenges
This is her inspiring sketch:

Here is my interpretation of the sketch.

I just love this Queen of Hearts digital image by Digi Doodles Stamps. I colored the image with my Copic Markers and glitter pens. I then layered burgundy, black and gray designer papers and added some striped ribbon and pearls to complete the card.

My favorite quote is by Maya Angelou. "You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have." Come and join us at Come and Get it Challenges this week.

Just Another Tag

Happy Camper challenge blog has a tag challenge this week and I decided to make another Christmas Tag, you know that time of the year is coming fast.

I used a digi stamp by Bugaboo for this tag along with a combination of pattern paper, ribbon, pearls, die cut snowflakes and  Christmas tape. My image was coloured with Copic Markers.  This was a fun quick project and now I have one more Christmas tag for the upcoming event.

Thanks for stopping by today and do something creative for yourself.

Inspiration Photo

Isn’t Meighan’s inspirational photo for this weeks challenge at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges beautiful. What stood out for me in the photo was the joy, the old time Christmas scene and the warm colors.

This is my card that I created based on Meighan’s inspirational photo.

The rubber stamp is by Cornish Heritage Farms and is from the "Saturday Evening Post " series called Santa’s Lap. I used Distress Inks to color the image and then added the sentiment with one of my alphabet letter set.

If Meighan’s photo inspires you, I hope that you create a card and join us this week at Holly Jolly.

A Garden Poem

Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie, and Old Olive are the colors of this week’s challenge at Come and Get it Challenges. My card was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest awhile ago. Pinterest is my latest place to look for an inspiring ideas.

The stamp I used for this card is a Penny Black stamp called "a garden poem". The sentiment is by Hero Arts. I layered my card stock, added some lines, cord, a button and inked the edges to complete my card.

I hope you will join us this week at Come and Get it Challenges. Be sure to check out the art work of the rest of the design team. They will inspire you as always. Remember my favorite quote by Maya Angelou: "You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have."

Glittered Chickadee

This week at Come and Get it Challenges it is the hostess choice challenge and the challenge is to use three of the following: purple, green, black, glitter, staples, gems, ribbon, circle and scallops. It is pretty easy to make a card using three of the choices.

I made this cute little chickadee from a die cutting stencil from Dee’s Distinctively.

My card has green, black, glitter, gems and circles on it. I think this card would make a nice tag for a gift or a thank you note.

Now it is your turn to make a card and enter it on our Come and Get it Challenge Blog. While you are there check out on the creations of the other design team members.

Winter Wonderland

Paige chose a wonderful theme for this week’s challenge at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges  glitter/bling. Nothing says Christmas Cards to me more than glitter and bling.

I had this sweet snowman and angels image in my collection and thought it would make a great easel card and it had a lot of areas to add glitter and bling to. Once I had my image colored and added my glitter I mounted the image on glitter papers, added glitter paper to the base, a glitter star and a sentiment by Stampin Up.

Do you think my card sparkles enough? Come join us at Holly Jolly this week. Not that long to Christmas now. If you need some inspiration check out the cards the other Christmas elves have made.

Hope you have a creative day you.
