I'm Baaack ..

I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterst with a "I'm Baaack" sentiment.  I thought the sentiment  was so cute.

I had this cute snowman in my collection that I used for the card.  The hanging icicles are recycled from a Christmas candle trim.   I wish I could find more of the trim somewhere. I have used the icicles on many cards including using them as the body of many butterflies.

I added ribbon, glitter, snowflake and some colour with my Copic Markers to finish off the card.  I am planning on sending the card to a friend for her birthday.  Hope she likes it.

Steampunk Sally Tag

One of my favourite Yahoo Groups, Inky Fun Stampers is having a Steampunk  Tags swap and I made this tag for the swap.  I used a lot of different products to make this tag including rubber stamps from Quiet Fire Design, Stampers Anonymous  and a digitial stamp called Steampunk Sally from Delicious Doodles Shop.

I coloured my tag with Distress Ink Stains, added silver details with a silver outline pen and some texture with Distress embossing powder.   This was a fun tag to make and I hope my partner enjoys it.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a creative week.

Reindeer Christmas Card

I made a few of these cards this year for Christmas.  They were fun to make.  The card was done with a combination of inks, digi images and rubber stamps.  I also used a couple of different embossing folders, die cuts and a masking technique for the moon.  To complete the card I added two different ribbons and a couple of pearls.

Hope you all have  a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Believe in the Magic of Christmas

Last challenge of 2012 at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges and Cindy chose a vintage theme.  I used this digital image by Arty Pants Digital Stamps for my card. and coloured the image with my Distress Inks and added a sentiment also by Arty Pants. I trimmed one of the background papers with gold embossing powder, and added  an antique looking burgundy and gold ribbon and bow along with a open weaved ribbon for the background .  A gold pearl and a little glitter pen on the berries completed the card.

It has been fun this year being part of the design team at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges, a wonderful experience working with the rest of the Holly Jolly Christmas elves and seeing all the different art work of the participants in the challenges.  I hope you will join in this last challenge of the year and be back next year for more great challenges.

Lacey Christmas Tree

Paige, one of the Holly Jolly elves challenged us to a card with a metallic theme at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges this week. I chose to do a card in teal and gold for this challenge.  I used three different Memory Box die cuts to create the card and layered them on a cream and gold Christmas patterned paper.

The Merry Christmas sentiment that I added is by Arty Pants Digital Stamps.  To complete the festive card I mounted my card front on to a gold metallic card stock and added some gold bling.  I think I met Paige's challenge of a metallic card.  Come join us at Holly Jolly, create your card and enter it here.

To complete my tag I added a hint of colour with  Shattered Glass Distress Ink.

I hope you will join us this week and show us your tags at Come and Get it Challenges.  Have a creative day.

I made this card tonight for my niece's little girl's first Christmas.  I hope she likes the card.  I love to send my nieces' and nephew's children cards for their birthdays and Christmas.  Little ones love to get mail.

I coloured my snowman from Printables.com with my Martha Stewart glitter pens and Copic Markers.  I used a digi banner from Arty Pants Digital Stamps and added my sentiment. I then used a small  Stampin Up snowflake stamp for the background and added a glitter snowflake to complete the card.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a very creative day.

Snowy Christmas

I made this card for a friend for Christmas, it was inspired by a card that I saw on Pinterest. I used many products to create my card.

The tree is a die cut by Tim Holts cut out of glossy card stock and with Stazon Ink The snow was added snow with Snow Writer and a little bit of glitter.

I used several different Spellbinder Nestabilities dies for the background along with embossing the cuts with an embossing folder. I stamped in the background with a small snow flake stamp and embossed the snowflakes with silver embossing powder.

To complete the card I added a cross, Arty Pants sentiment, Martha Stewart Snowflake punch and bling.

Hope my friend enjoys the card.  Thank you for stopping by today and have a creative week.

JJ and the Christmas Ornament

It is my turn to chose the theme of this weeks challenge at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges and I have chosen a Bingo.
To play along with us you must chose a line across, diagonally or down and make your card using the three items that you find in that row. Bugaboo Stamps is our sponsor this week and that means a prize for a lucky someone at the end of the challenge.

Here is my card

I chose to use the diagonal row containing the words: glitter, free and red. How hard can that be to use glitter and the color red on your Christmas card?

I thought of JJ Christmas Ornament from Bugaboo would look great in a red and gold dress swinging on the Christmas ornament. I just purchased two new Memory Box die cuts that I used to make up the card card. Once the card was assembled I decided not to bling it up since there were lots of swirls and flourishes in the die cut and glitter on her dress.

Come join us at Holly Jolly this week. It is less than three weeks to Christmas and time to finish up those Christmas cards. Have a creative day.

Colour Challenge, Midnight Muse, Bashful Blue and White

Colour challenge time at Come and Get it Challenges this week and the colours are Midnight Muse, Bashful Blue and White.   What a stunning colour combo. When I thought about the colours it brought to my mind one of my favourite blue Christmas ornaments. It was this  blue Christmas ornament that inspired my card.

The Christmas ornament rubber stamp is by Stampers Anonymous. I layered the embossed ornament over white glossy paper that I embossed with a holly branch embossing folder,  added a sentiment by Arty Pants Digital Stamps and added a white bow and pearl.

Thank you for stopping by.  Hope you will join us at Come and Get it this week. Have a creative day.

Christmas in Pinks and Blues

This adorable digi stamp is by Paper Shelter and I thought it would be a great image for a card I created for Julie’s challenge this week at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges, pinks and blues.

Little girls are so cute dressed in pink. I added my colors with my Copic Markers, then layered a couple of die cuts and an embossed background.  To complete my card and give the card some sparkle I added some ribbon, bow, glitter and bling.

It is a Gatefold Easel Card

Come and Get It Challenges this week has a "card with more than one fold" challenge. Bugaboo Stamps is the sponsor of this challenge so everyone who enters their card has a chance of winning 7 digi stamps from Bugaboo.

I chose two of Bugaboo stamps for this Gate Fold Easel card; make it snappy - happy birthday and Dottie cake. I thought they were a good combination for the card and also went well this my birthday cupcake paper.

The idea for the gatefold easel card came from a card I viewed on Pinterest and I found a tutorial on Impressions by Day's Blog with directions to make the card.

I coloured the images with my glitter pens and Copics, added ribbon and a Stampin Up sentiment.

Here Comes the North Pole Express

Meighan, one of the Christmas elves at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges chose a R’s challenge this week. Your card must contain at least three things that start with the letter "R" such as red, reindeer and ribbon.

I had just the right digi image by Just Inklined Digital Stamps called North Pole Express for this challenge. I actual have 4 "R" word on my card: red, railway tracks, reindeer and ribbon. This was a fun card to do. I colored the image with my Copic Markers and added Diamond Glaze on the headlights to give the card some depth. The "Merry & Bright" is a rubber stamp by Stampendous.

I think this is a very colorful card, just right for my youngest grandson for Christmas. He is in love with trains. Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you will join us this week at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges and have a creative day.

Time for a Card Sketch

This week at Come and Get  It  is a fun card sketch.

Here is my card that was inspired by the sketch.

I decided to do a Christmas card for this challenge. This was a very simple card. I used a Tim Holtz’s die cut for the rosette flowers and a Sizzix border die cut for the bottom border, then I added a sentiment and some bling.

I hope you will come and join us at Come and Get It this week. Thank you for stopping by and have a great day.

Inspired by a Christmas Carol

Inspired by a Christmas carol is the theme of this weeks challenge at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges and the challenge is sponsored by one of my favorites digital stamp company, Bugaboo Stamps . The hostess, Cindy will pick the winner of the challenge, and the winner of the challenge will also win the prize of  7 free Bugaboo digi stamps.  If you have never taken a look at their wonderful images I suggest that you cruise over to their site and take a look, there is something for everybody and if you prefer rubber Bugaboo has that to.

Here is my song inspired card.

“Joy to the World” is one of my favorite Christmas carols and I found this Joy digi stamp that I used to create my card at Bugaboo.  I colored this image with my glitter pen and then created a Christmas ornament style card that was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest.  To create my card I used several die cuts, ribbon, an embossing folder and a string of pearls. It was an interesting card to make and I thought it suited the Bugaboo image.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you will join us at Holly Jolly this week.

Flourishes and Swirls

Come and Get it Challenges this week has a flourishes and swirl challenge.

It was the digital image by Arty Pants Digital stamps that I used for the background that inspired my card. I love the music pattern with it’s swirls and flourishes. I colored the image with a couple of colors of Distress Inks to bring out the pattern. Next I added a couple of flourishes, a bird, and bird cage all cut from Tim Holtz die cutters. The bird cage was embossed with several layers of metallic embossing powder to give it a metallic look.

The flower I added was not quite the right color so I coloured it with Distress Inks and added a center bling to tie in the color. A few black pieces of bling completed the card.

Thank you for stopping by to take a look at my card. I hope you will join us at Come and Get it the week . If you need some inspiration check out the beautiful creations of the other members of the design team.

3,2,1 Challenge Christmas Challenge

Paige picked the theme for the challenge for Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge this week and it is a 3,2,1 challenge, three embellishments, two pattern papers and one image. This challenge also is sponsored by Fred, She Said Designs and they are providing the  prize this week.

Fred, She Said Designs offers a wide variety of digital products with a floral flair and cute characters too - digi’s, pre-colored images, papers, sets, Fred’s flower kits, and even digital cutting files.  Have some fun with Fred!

Here is my card.

For my card I used Fred’s Emma the Caroler.  For the 3,2,1 challenge I used three pearl embellishments, two pattern papers and a digi stamp (Emma).  The hardest part of making the card was choosing which one of Fred’s great images I was going to use for the card.

A Monochromatic Color Challenge

Monochromatic color is the theme of this week’s Come and Get it Challenges. Fred She Said Designs is the sponsor of this challenge and that means there is a prize to win. Fred, She Said Designs offers a wide variety of digital products with a floral flair and cute characters too - digi’s, pre-colored images, papers, sets, Fred’s flower kits, and even digital cutting files.  Have some fun with Fred!

I chose to use one of Fred She Said’s flower sets called Daisies Outline. This is a wonderful set which contains 4 different borders along with several different flowers and leaves already to print in different sizes for layering.

For the butterfly I used  a die cut which I colored with the same blue glitter pen that I outlined the flowers and background with.  I used a border punch was by Martha Stewart to add some layering interest.

Come join the fun at Come and Get It this week.  If you need some inspiration check out the blogs of the rest of the creative design team.

Upright Z Fold Card

It is my turn to chose the theme this week at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges and I thought it would be fun to do Christmas Trees as the theme.

Looking around Pinterest I came across this Upright Z Fold card that I wanted to try and thought the Christmas tree would work well for this style of card. I stamped my tree rubber stamp in a Tsukineko Essential Glue pad and then on to a piece a suede paper and then coated the tree in Royal Blue glitter.  I stacked my glittered Christmas tree on several paper layers of paper and added some bling and a snowflake to complete the card.
