There's a Nap for That

Masculine themed card is the challenge at Come and Get It this week.  I used an Ai People stamp from Art Impression for this card.  I love the sleeping fisherman and the cute sentiment that makes up the set.

I used Copic Markers to colour the image then layered the card with several co-ordinationg papers.  I know who I will give this cute card to, my fishing husband. Hope you will join us at Come and Get It this week.

Dashing Through the Snow

Cindy at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges had a great theme for this week's challenge, Dashing Through the Snow.  I had this great image from Paper Shelter of a bear ridden by a Christmas Elf pulling the sleigh full of gifts, just prefect for this challenge.

I coloured my image with my Copic Markers and added some snow with Flower Soft.  I like the way the Flower soft adds texture and interest to the card.  To complete the card I added some red ball ribbon and some fabric snow flakes.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you will join us this week at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges.

Playing with my Gelatos

I love the vibrant colours and sparkle of this card.  The background  is textured wall paper coloured with Gelatos and Glimmer Mist.  It was a fun messy background to make.  The directions card be found in the new Technique Junkies Newsletter (June/July 2103).

The Monarch butterfly is a  stamp by Stamp Oasis that I have had for many years,  I coloured the butterfly with PanPastels and erased some of the colour to give the butterfly variation of colours, then added with my white gell pen some white lines and dots.

Thank you for stopping by today. Remember my favourite quote by by Maya Angelou. “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” Do something creative for yourself today.

Embellishments, Pattern Papers and Ribbon/Twine Challenge

Create a card with 3 Embellishments, 2 Pattern Papers and 1 Ribbon/Twine is the challenge this week at Come and Get It Challenges. I had this cute image by My Bestie's that I used for the card.   I thought she was so adorable, especially with those big eyes.

To use the challenge requirements was quite easy.  I wanted to give her a bright orange and yellow dress so I looked through my stash of papers and came up with this flower print and some suttle yellow and white pattern paper.  The sentiment is by Stampin Up and the image was coloured with Copic Markers.

In my stash also I had some yellow and orange brads and a pretty yellow ribbon to complete the card.

Hope you enjoy my card and will join us this week at Come and Get It Challenges.

Wedding Summer Card and Presentation Box

I made this easel wedding card for my sister who was going to a wedding in a few weeks.  I like this cute image of a bride and groom from Pollycraft digital images.  I paper pieces the bride's wedding dress and the grooms suit and hat.  I also added bling to the bridal dress to give .  Instead of a sentiment we added the bride and grooms name and a blue and white flower.

Since the card is over size for an envelope I made a box for the card in the colours of the card and with a matching ribbon.  Along with a ribbon we added the date of the upcoming wedding.  I hope the bride and groom enjoy their card.

I love this grandma in the kitchen image I have used for my card.  I paper pieced her dress, oven glove and the bows on the garland. I coloured the rest of the image with my Copic Markers and added some Diamond Glaze on her glasses.

Christmas Ornament Challenge

My turn the chose the challenge this week at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges and I chose the theme to be Christmas ornaments, either an actual ornament or a card or tag with an ornament on it.

I chose to make this bird cage ornament using two different Tim Holtz's dies along with two dies for Dee's Distinctively. I coloured my bird with several shades of Inka Gold then I polished the bird to make it shine.  The bird cage was embossed and copper colour embossing powder was added and textured to give the cage an aged effect.

The branches were stippled with Dimensional Pearls and then I added the brown pearls to the cage.  The snow was added using Liquid Applique and heating it up to puff it up to make it look more like snow.

Hope you will join us this week at Holly Jolly.  Pop over to our blog and see the other creations the design team members have made to inspire you.

Playing in My Craft Room

This card was an experiment in trying a couple of different techniques. I had to make a card for an upcoming swap that started with the the letter "Y".

For my card, Y is for You. The sentiment was a quote from Pinterest that I printed on tissue paper with the computer and decoupage on to the card, then letters were outlined in white gell pen, and the sentiment box outlined with turquoise Indian ink.

I coloured the background with PanPastels, stamped it randomly with a textured and a feather rubber stamps.  To complete the back ground I then added some some stenciling.

The butterfly was die cut from a scrap of paper left over from a card I made with my Gelli Plate.

Hope my card swap partner enjoys my card as much as I did making it.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative day.

Masculine Birthday Card

I made this card for my brother-in-laws birthday this month.  He really likes old trucks so I thought this digital image by Fred, She said Designs was the prefect image for my card.

I coloured the image with my Copic Markers, silver glitter pen and distress inks. I added Diamond Glaze on the headlights to give them a glass like appearance. The lock and key are a die cut by Tim Holtz  and I added the chain for interest along with the brads.  I layered the truck over a gear embossed paper.

Thank you for stopping by.  I am off to my craft room to stamp some more.

Lots of Layers

Holly Jolly's challenge this week is to create a Christmas card with lots of layers.  This Ice Fairy image is by Paper Shelter.  I have had her in my collection of digital stamps for awhile looking for just the right card.  I added three layers of pattern paper along with a border of snowflakes.

I then added snowflakes, roses, ribbon, a setiment and a lot of bling. A little snow fairy needs lots of bling.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a creative day.  Come join us at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges and get your Christmas cards done early?
