Stamping on Felt Challenge at Get Inky Challenges

I created my "Shoot for the Moon" card for this weeks challenge at Get Inky! Challenge blog.  The theme of the challenge is stamping on felt.  I chose to use two of the rubber stamps from Get Inky Stamps called Whimsical Moon and Stars, you can purchase the stamps here

I have never stamped on felt before so it was a very interesting challenge for me and if you know me I just love challenges.  I stamped my moon on to white felt and then cut out the moon.  The stars were cut with a die cut. I also used a die cut to cut our the background. I love the soft look of the stamping n felt.  To complete the card I added some glitter to the stars, some bling to the sky and my Get Inky Stamps' sentiment.

Come join us at for this challenge at Get Ink! Challenge.   I hope you have a very creative day. Thank you for stopping by.

Three Designer Paper Challenge at Fitztown.

This is the card I made for the 3 designer paper challenge this week at Fitztown.  You still have time to enter the challenge.  This is a good challenge to use up some of your scraps of designer paper that you have been hoarding. Just create your card and enter it here

My card was made with one of the teddy bear designs from Fitztown collection of teddy bears created by Morgan Fitzsimons. I just love this teddy bear image.  The teddy bear could be used for Christmas, birthday or any other celebration.

I used Copics to colour my image and found 3 pattern papers in my stash to make up the background of my card.  I stamped the sentiment from my stash of unmounted stamps on to one of the pattern papers, used a banner die cut to cut it out  and added a button to complete my card.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a creative day.

Always in Style

I made  this tag for an upcoming tag swap at the Inky Fun Stampers.  I was making a page for my Life Book journal and thought I would make the background of this tag with the made colours. I used my Gelli plate to create the background and added a couple of rubber stamps and some Washi tape for interest. The top is a pre-cut label from a package of scrapbook labels that happened to be the same colour as my project. I thought it made an interesting top to the tag.

I used one of my mix media Prima doll for the tag and punched my flowers out left over paper from my gelli late prints.  I paper pieced the dress, added a Stampin Up sentiment, ribbon and a couple of buttons.

Thanks for stopping by and have a creative days.

Lets Go Shopping Challenge

Lets go shopping  is the theme of Come and Get It's challenge this week.  I do not know anyone of my girlfriends that does not like going shopping, especially for shoes and purses.  You can never have enough.

I used a digital image by A Day for Daisies, our sponsor this week called Peacock Clutch.  I really like the design of the purse and thought I had the perfect rubber stamps to accompany it.

I also used for this card a peacock stamp by Rubber Stampede for the background and a sentimentstamp called Purse-nally by Stampendous.  I love the sentiment, it is so cute. My purse was coloured with Copic Markers and the glitter ribbon is by American Craft.

Get Inky Challenge - Handmade Flowers

My turn to bring you some inspiration for this week's challenge at Get Inky! Challenge Blog.  The theme of this challenge is to add some handmade flowers to your project. Lots of room to be creative with this challenge.  Here is my card:

My card features a sympathy sentiment digital stamp by Get Inky Stamps . You can find the stamp here.  To frame my card I used the Gold Majesty Circles Dies by Spellbinders. Distress ink was used to ink the edges of the frame and some glitter on the hearts. The stamp is just perfect to show your sympathy to someone who is suffering a loss. Here is a view of the stamp close up.

My flowers were made with a Martha Stewart Hydrangea punch.  I cut them out of white card stock. I scrunched up the flower to give them some shape then layered them and coloured them with ink and glitter. To complete my card I added some bling from my stash.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you enjoyed my card.  Check out Get Inky Stamps sentiment stamps.  They have some  wonderful designs..  Hope to see you join us this week for Get Inky! "Handmade Flowers" challenge

Antique Car Love

My turn to show my project using kraft paper or colouring on paper for this week's challenge at Fitztown.   I decided on kraft paper because I have hoarded lots in my stash.  I used this lovely antique car called car 4 from the interesting collection of cars digital images at Fitztown.

The textured kraft paper is  from a friend that is a stain glass artist.  Her large pieces of glass come wrapped up in this interesting paper.

I coloured the antique car with Copic Markers, white gell pen and pencil crayon.  I added diamond glaze to the head lights , stapled the travel background paper to the card stock and added the hand and sentiments by Tim Holtz to show case my digital image.  Both the hand and the sentiment were also stamped on kraft paper.

There still is time to join in this challenge.  Just create  your card and enter it here

Quilt Inspired Challenge

Get Inky Challenge Blog is having a quilt inspired challenge this week and this is the card I created for the challenge. From my stash I found this baby themed paper that I think I have had for probably 6 or 7 years.  The paper has squares of different baby related themes all on the one sheet so I just used a paper punch and created squares the size I needed for my background.

I inked the edges of my squares and laid them down on my card in a pattern, then I added my digital image from Get Inky Stamps called spotted baby giraffe. Isn't it a cute image?

To compete this card I added a metal tag and ribbon with my tag curler.  It had been a long time since I had the paper curler out but I do think it was a nice addition for this baby card.

I hope you will join us at Get Inky Challenges this week.  Thank you for stopping to take a look and have a creative day.
