Water Colored Flowers

I joined a water colour card swap on one of the rubber stamp Yahoo groups I belong to. It had been a long time since I had used water colours on  a card.

To create my card I scribbled my chosen  colours with my Caran d' Ache Neocolor 11 Crayons on to an acrylic block.  My next step was to spritz  my acrylic block with water and stamp it on a piece of water colour paper.

Once the paper was dry I stamped my flower stamp by Stampendous with Stazon inks. To colour my flowers I used a paint brush and painted the flowers with my crayons. The butterfly was die cut of some of the left over water colour paper when I made my card. The sentiment and the die to cut out the sentiment were by Stampin Up.

Thank you for stopping by and have a very creative day.

Anything Goes Challenge at Fitztown

Thanks for stopping by. I am hosting a Anything Goes Challenge at Fitztown this week and this is the card I created for the challenge.

This beautiful image that I am calling Finger on lips is a digital stamp from Morgan Fitzsimons' collection at Fitztown.  You may not find this in the store but if you send a picture link to sales@fitztown.com, someone will help you with your  query.

I have coloured my image with Copic Markers and Distress Inks. I used a Spellbinder Card Creator to frame my image and added a flower I have made to complete the card.  The flower was made by adding alcohol ink to an acrylic sheet and let the ink dry  then I used Tim Holtz's Tattered Rose to die to cut out the flower parts.  I then used my heat gun to melt the acrylic to create an interesting shape. The petals were held together with a brad.  There are several sites on Pinterest giving directions for these flower.

I hope you have a creative day.

Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful

This is my tag I made for my long time stamping friend, Paige.  I have several Prima Dolls rubber stamps and they had never seen any ink so Paige suggested a Prima Doll swap.  I decided to make a Tag for her with one of my stamps and here it is:

I made my tags with my Cricut from the  Bags, Tags, Boxes and More 2 cartridge.  I used Distress Inks to add some colour to the edges, I then added some rubber stamped flowers, beaded lace, die cut butterflies, ribbon and bling.  The Prima Doll was coloured with Copic.    My sentiment I did with my computer using a quote I had seen on Pinterest.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a creative day.
