Spring into Spring

This week at Crafty Cardmakers it is a Spring  into spring challenge.   I made this pretty fairy card and coloured her in spring colours. 

The stamp is called "fairy in gown" is by Stamps Happen Inc. and has been in my collection for many years.   I coloured her with Copic Markers, Ink of Stella and pencil crayon.  To complete my I added some flowers, pearls and a butterfly.

Spring Time Challenge

Time for another great challenge at Come and Get It this week and the them of this challenge is Spring time. Time for Tea is one of our sponsors and they have a great selection of images for spring.  I have used one of their images called Fairy Toadstool.  I think she is so cute.

I coloured my image with Copics, Wink of Stella and Pencil Crayons. I added a fence and some stamped asters to create a spring theme for my card. I added a butterfly, gems and flowers to complete my card.  Thank you for stopping by and have a creative day.  

In the Garden

Great challenge over at Come and Get It Challenges this week, the theme is in the garden.  I have used one of our sponsor's image this week called  Good Soil by Cute as a Button.  What an adorable image.

This easel garden theme card and coloured it with Copics, then added some flowers, butterfly, stamped soil bag.  The sentiment come with one version of the image and I printed it and then added it to my card .

Anything Goes Challenge

Time for another challenge at Come and Get It Challenges.  Our sponsor this week is Di's Digis.  

I made this card for a friend who is going into the hospital for surgery.  Sandra Caldwell's 

Broken Boo Boo seemed to be a perfect image for this card.  The image was coloured with Copics and pencil crayons and I added the rubber stamped band aides and a sentiment that were from my collection of rubber stamps to complete the card.

For a Special Woman

Card for a special friend is the theme of this week's challenge at Crafty Cardmakers. This card is for a very dear friend of mine for her birthday.  I love the sentiment on this old  rubber stamp I have had for many years by Stamps Happens, Inc.  The stamp is called My Special Friend and the sentiment says "You'll always be my special friend".

I coloured my card with Ink Intense Pencils then added a frame detail, some sequence and a pretty dark blue ribbon.

Things with Wings

Time for another weekly challenge at Come and Get It Challenges . The theme this week is one of my favourites, things with wings. 

Our sponsor is A Day for Daisies and I used one of their bird theme images for my card.  The image I used is called Bird Family on a Branch. 

I used watercolours and a wink of Stella to colour my image and then cut out the image with a Sizzex die. To complete my card I added a sentiment and some flowers and pearls.

Card for a Kid

I love the image I used for this week's challenge at Come and Get It Challenges.  The theme is a card for a Kid.  The sponsor of this challenge is Paper Nest Dolls and I used an image called Captain Owen.

I coloured my image with Copic Markers and layered several die cuts and a birthday sentiment. I had fun making this card and it I think I will use it for an upcoming birthday card for one of the little ones in my family.

Altered Heart

Time for another great challenge at Creative Artiste this month.  The theme is anything goes and we have a great prize for one lucky winner. Remember your project must be Mixed Media and use at least 3 different mediums in your project.

I decided to alter a heart for my project and add angel wings that originally were birch bark Christmas ornaments. 

This is what I started with

To make my canvas I collages music pages to my canvas and added colour to the canvas. Next I added a stencil compass which I coloured the molding paste with PanPastels  and highlighted parts with a white Sharpie. I added music sheet paper also to the heart and then added a layer of blue acrylic paper.  The angel wings were painted light blue acrylic paint then covered with cheese cloth and glitter added to give the wings sparkle.  

To complete the project I added a couple of sentiments, cord with a gold thread, and a breathe tag. Welcome Spring

It is March and time for another great monthly challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu  .  The theme this month is spring colours or Easter.  I made this spring card for my girlfriend's birthday.  

The tulip stamp is an old stamp from my collection made by PSX.  I have had the stamp in my collection for probably 15 years.  I coloured the image with my Copics, gell pen and pencil crayon and then added a sentiment, a ribbon, butterfly, gems, and a doily.

Altered File Box

It is time again for another challenge at Altered Eclectics.  This is an anything goes challenge as long as it is an altered project.  For this month's project I made an altered box to hold all of my alphabet letters that I have collected over the years for use in upcoming challenges. 

I started with this old file box.

I used letters from my collection, stencils, acrylic paints, wooden stars and buttons to create the textures and colours on my box.
