Girl Power

This is my last inspirational card for April for LeAnn's World 101.  The digital image is called Dragonrider.

I printed my card on watercolour paper and coloured the image with my Caran D'Ache NeoColor 11 , water-soluble colour wax pastels. I love the soft effect of watercolour.

Birthday Fun

Time of another challenge at Crafty Cardmakers this week and our them is Birthday Fun.

I used the Cat Crazy Stamps from Tim Holtz for this birthday card for one of my younger family members. The circle stamp in the background is a older Stampin Up stamp from my collection of rubber stamps. The background inks are Tim Holtz's Distress Oxides and the balloons are coloured with Copics.

This was a fun card to make and I hope he will enjoy it. Thank you for stopping by and have a creative week.  Remember to pop over to our challenge blog to few the inspiring cards of the rest of our design team.

By the Water

It is time for another challenge at Crafty Cardmakers this week  The theme of this challenge is "water".

I used a old rubber stamp from my collection by Stamps Happen, Inc called Mother and Son for this  card.  I coloured the image with watercolours and added a computer generate sentiment along with a watercoloured hearts  and a ribbon to complete the card.

Altered Mannequin

Time for another mixed media/ altered challenge at Altered Eclectics. I have chosen to alter a mannequin for this months challenge.

I used many found pieces for my project including old jewelry, lace, beads, hair barrette, ribbon and old metal belts.

To get the  antique copper look to my project I used a combination of acrylic paint, Modern Options Sophisticated Finishes of Copper and Patina Green and DecoArt Heavenly Hues of Color Hunter Green.

Easter Box - a Box of Fun

Eclectic Ellapu is having a fun challenge this month.  The theme of the challenge is Boxes of Fun- make a box and fill it with fun.

I decided to make a Easter gift box for my grandson.  The pattern for this box was created by my friend Annette quite a few years ago.  I have seen several similar patterns but not with the card built in and a place to add money or a gift card along with the gift.

I filled the box with Easter candies.
