Joyous Christmas

This is my inspirational card for LeAnn's World 101 on Facebook.  I chose this cute Christmas image called Jethro's Christmas for my card this week.  Isn't he a handsome little fellow.

I coloured my image with Copics, pencil crayon and gelli pens.  I have so many little boys to make Christmas card that he is an image I will use over and over this Christmas.

Autumn Coloured Card Challenge

The theme of the card challenge at Craft Cardmakers this week is Autumn. I used a beautiful digital image from The Paper Shelter called Autumn Enchantment  for my card.

I made this card for one of my nieces for her upcoming birthday. I just loved the image.  I coloured the image with Copics, gelli pen and pencil crayons. To complete the card I added layered autumn designer papers, some recycled silk flowers and a sentiment.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative week. Remember to pop over to our challenge blog to be inspired by our creative design team.

Christmas Tag - September's Inspirational Post

I am just back from my summer holidays and have completed this Christmas Tag for one of my inspirational posts at LeAnn's World 101 on Facebook.
The image is called Dani and can be found in LeAnn's Etsy shop

I free formed cut out my tag base then added some Christmas designer paper on the next layer of the tag.  I added my cute copic coloured image of Dani to a background oval made using a Christmas embossed paper and distressed ink.

Closer look.

To complete the card I added some silver balls to her sweater, a "Merry" die cute,  ribbon and some small gems.

Thank you for stopping by.  Pop over to LeAnn's Facebook group and be inspired by the works created by the design team and friend of LeAnn's World 101 group.

You are a Star

Another great challenge is happening at Creative Artiste this month.  Your project must be Mixed Media and can be an ATC, tag, card, layout, altered art or an off-the-page project as long as you follow the challenge specifications. You must use more then 3 different mediums on your project to qualify for our mixed media rules.

I decided to make a mixed media canvas this month.

Our fabulous sponsor this month is WOW and they have a fantastic prize for one lucky winner.

I have used WOW's glitter on my project along with acrylic paints, ink sprays, stencils, die cuts, glitter beads and a wooden star.

It's Your Birthday Go Wild

I am back with another card for a great challenge at Crafty Cardmakers.  The theme of the challenge is All creatures Great and Small.

I fell in love with this cute stamp set by Gerda Steiner.  I was inspired by a video by Sandy Alnock and made this card for a friend. I coloured my card with Copics, Posca Pens, Pencil Crayon, and Distressed Inks.  I added Diamond Glaze to give texture to the headlights and binoculars and clouds in the sky. I cut out all of my animals and had fun piling the animals in the jeep.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative week.

Their Story

Time for another great challenge at Rhedd's Creative Spirit this month. The theme is as always Altered Art/ Mixed Media.   I found this old picture of my dad (the tall handsome young man on the right) with his brother and sister.  I think it was taken about 1940.  I decided to make an altered clipboard using the picture.

I used a collection of  different findings, paints, inks stamps etc for my collage.   It was a lot of fun building the project.

Some of the products I used were acrylic paints, an old tape measure, drywall tape, stamps , metal keys and lock, metal rose. stencil by Andy Skinner, assortment of papers, crackle paint, gears and clogs.

Altered Puzzle Piece

I made this altered puzzle piece for this month's Altered Eclectics mixed media/altered art challenge.

I used several different rubber stamps for my project.  They were all old unmounted stamps from my collection of stamps and I no longer remember the makers of these stamps.  I coloured the images with Acrylic paint, posca pens, inks, and diamond glaze.

To complete the altered piece I used some gold micro beads, and a few metal findings.
Thank you for stopping by and have a creative week. Hope you will join us this month,

For the Fisherman

Time for another challenge at Eclectic Ellapu this month.  The theme of the challenge is anything goes and I have chosen to show you a card I made for my hubby's birthday.

I find it is sometimes very hard to find a nice masculine image and when I found this image I fell in love with it. The fisherman image is by Power Poppy and is called Fly Guy

The image was coloured with Copics, pencil crayon, diamond glaze and a gell pen.

I added a die cut net, buttons and a fly rubber stamp to complete the card.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative week.
