Heart Full of love

I had fun this week creating this simple wooden heart mixed media wall hanging for Creative Artiste.  For the base of  my heart I used a combinations of crackling paste, a selection of acrylic paints and a stencils.

Our sponsor this week is Tando Creative

https://www.tando-creative.co.uk/catalog/

The pearl frame around the heart was done with white Nuvo Crystal drops.  I just broke down and bought several colours and they  are all fun to use.

The glitter "Love" is a Tim Holtz die cut letters.  To complete the wall hanging I added a lace white butterfly which I added some colour to.

Encaustic Collage - Flowers for Pretty Lady

Time for another mixed media/altered art challenge at Rhedd's Creative Spirit and I decided to use this month one of my favourite mediums, encaustic wax.

To create my collage I used a combination of bees wax, Panpastels, fiber paper, decitionary paper, lace, and some antique prescription paper from my collection.

To create my collage I added 5 layers of wax to my wooden board then layered my background papers, vintage photo and added colour with Panpastels.  The background papers included some early 1800 prescriptions that I found in a antique store on holidays one year.

Altered Wine Box

This is what I started with.

For my project this month at Altered Eclectics was to make an altered  box to hold my paint brushes.  This is the old wooden wine holder I used for this project.

After I sanded the box I painted it with gesso. I added some gears and metal pieces, the words brushes then painted the entire box with shades of copper.  I next added an antiquing solution to give the project a patina.

Happy Thanksgiving

Time for another challenge at Eclectic Ellapu and the theme of this challenge is Thanksgiving.  I had this cute digital image by The Paper Shelter that I used for my card.  I thought he was such a cute happy looking turkey.

The card die I used was from Cheery Lynn collection is called Centre Step die. I coloured my image with my copic markers and pencil crayons.  I layered my card base with fall coloured designer papers from my large paper stash and then added brads, a banner and a wooden gear to complete the card.

Thank you for stopping by. Hope you will join us this month.
