Just Add a Critter

My turn to host this weeks  challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers and the theme is "just add a critter". I have used a digital stamp from Leigh S-B Designs for my card. The image is called Cleo the Egyptian Cat and can be found on Esty

My image was coloured with Copics and pencil crayon.  The on the background paper I added a stoneware texture using a stamp by JRL Design stamp and a die cut sentiment.

Autumn Card

Time for another great challenge at Crafty CardMakers.  The theme of this challenge is autumn colours.

I just love autumn and the beautiful coloured leaves.  I made this card using my Pentart Alcohol Inks and  die cuts out of Tim Holtz's metallic copper paper. I loved the colour combination.  I played with the inks until I found an pattern in the inks that I was pleased with.

This was a very quick card but I loved the look and colours. Thank you for stopping by and have a creative week.  Pop over to our challenge blog to be inspired by our creative design team.

It is time for another challenge Bleeding Arts.  Bleeding Art is a mixed media/anything goes challenge blog all the time.

I have been playing with my Alcohol Inks and decides to alter a bottle with them.  I painted my bottle with gesso and then sprayed the bottle with Kiltz primer to seal the gesso so I could use my Alcohol Inks.

This is what I started with

I used a selection of Pentart Alcohol Inks, the colours including

orange
trumpet flower
white coffee
copper
toffee

Once I was had the bottle covered with the inks that I was pleasing to me I added my findings which included

a picture frame
gears
metal butterfly
chain
sentiment
metal section from a metal belt

Altered Bottle - Colour Challenge at Splashy Mix Challenge

We have another great challenge at Splashy Mix Challenges.  The challenge is a colour challenge.  Here is the mood board to inspire you.

This is my alcohol ink altered bottle I created for this challenge.

This is the bottle before I altered it.

I first painted my bottle white gesso and then sprayed the bottle with Kilz primer I purchased from a hardware store. I used several different shapes of yellow and purple Pentart Alcohol inks to create an interesting my pattern on the bottle.  The colours were inspired by our mood board.  I used small clear glass tiles left over from a kitchen project for the tiles on the bottle coloured with Alcohol Inks which I added small metal flowers to.

Here are some more views of the completed project.

Listen to the Music

Time for another great mixed media/altered art challenge at Creative Artiste this month. The theme of the challenge as always is anything goes.

I found this violin at a flea market and decided to make a project using it for this challenge.

Some of the things I used in the project.

I used the reversed of the wooden canvas and added gesso to the canvas along with gesso to the ceramic titles. My next step was to add paintis several different colours to age the project. I added a sheet of music to the canvas that I had stained with Tim Holtz Distressed inks.

My next step was to add crackle paint to the canvas and on the tiles etc.  Once I had affixed the tiles and violin to the canvas I added my sentiment, music notes and gears.

Gems and Pearls

We are back from holiday break here at Crafty Cardmakers and another challenge.  This weeks challenge is a Gems/Pearls challenge ready hosted by DT Monika.

I created this card for a niece's birthday card using a digital image by Norma J. Burnell.  I just love her images, so pretty.  Once I had coloured my image with copics I added some Prima flowers and pearls to complete the card.
