Monochromatic Christmas Card

This week’s challenge at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges is a monochromatic colour color challenge.   I had this beautiful unmounted star Christmas tree in my stash.  I stamped the tree with embossing ink and embossed it with an embossing powder called green pearl.  Like a lot of things in my stash I do not remember where the rubber stamp or the embossing powder came from or actually how long they have been in my stash.  I have never used either product before (better not tell my husband that).

I had this pretty pale green embossed Christmas paper in my stash that I layered with a couple of similar papers to create the monochromatic card.  I then added a similar colour of ribbon and made a bow to complete then card.  I like the soft tones of this card.  I usually create in a lot bolder colors.  One of the neat things about doing challenges  is you find things in your stash that you have forgotten about or not used for a lot time  and you get to try things that may not necessarily be your style.

Thanks for looking and now it's your turn to create! Just create your card and enter it here. Remember to stop by Holly Jolly and see all of the other cards that our Holly Jolly Elves have been making.
