Mixed Media Chalk Board

This is my project for this month's challenge at Creative Artiste.  I made a chalk board for keeping track of my craft supplies shopping.

This is what I started with, a old wooden calendar holder I found at a thrift store.  I added some cardboard corners to allow me to add more findings.

Most of my findings came from garage sales, thrift store and the dollar store.  I added all of my findings to the project with heavy matter gell then painted them all with grey gesso. After the Gesso had dried I used ink sprays to add colour and Tin Pewter acrylic paint to highlight the findings and give the project shine.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a creative day.  Remember to stop by Creative Artiste's challenge blog to see all the beautiful art work created by the design team to inspire you.
