Time for another "anything mixed media" challenge at Creative Artiste this month.
The term “mixed media art” is a broad definition that covers many forms of arts and crafts, including collage, assemblage, altered objects, handmade greeting cards, artist trading cards (ATCs) tags and art journaling as long as you use different mediums.
The “mixed media” used includes paint, paper, pastes, sprays, powders, textural elements, clay, resins, fabrics, found objects, photos, metal, inks, pencils, markers and pastels to name just a few.
Our sponsor this month is Scrapmatts Papertole Australia
Scrapmatts has a large selection of chipboard projects, stencils, papertole projects etc.
For this month project I made a mixed media canvas for one of my favourite places we visited during this years summer holidays, Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia.
Peggy's cove is a beautiful fishing village with colourful historical old homes, lobster traps and the iconic lighthouse. I loved the pictures that I took that day and had a hard time choosing ones for my project.
I used our sponsor's Chipboard String Circles on my project. I also used acrylic paints, inks, molding paste, Posca pens, finding such as button, lobster, starfish, and pearls.

Love those scribbly circle frames, making those images pop, and the fabulous textures, embellishing and colour contrasts work brilliantly here.
