Encaustic Wax Vintage Collage


It is time for another challenge over at Creative Artiste.  As always our theme is Anything Goes Mixed Media.

This month I pulled out my Encaustic Waxes to create my vintage collage. I used an assortment of vintage papers for my collage including sewing papers, mulberry paper and a vintage bag. I also used Pan Pastels and oil paint on the collage.  The image is from a Tim Holtz collection of vintage photographs. 

To complete the project I added roses that I dipped in the wax.

    Love how you used all the mixed media and coated it with the wax, it brings a whole new dimension to this fabulous canvas.

    I always admire the effect of wax and I never dare to try... It gives such a depth to your collage canvas, it's beautiful!
