Beach Party You're Invited
This card was created for one of my yahoo groups, Enjoy Michael Strong Stamps.
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/enjoyMichaelStrongstamps/
The theme of the challenge was to create a beach party card using at least one of Mike's stamps. I stamped the Cloisonné fish on scraps of colourful alcohol ink splattered paper from my stash, mounted the fish on a background embossed with the swirl embossing folder and coloured with chalks. I added the invitation signs and brads to finish off the cards. Pretty simple card but colourful.
Happy creating everyone.

Friendship is the Wine of Life
This card was created for Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge. This friendship stamp is from the PSX stamp collection. I love the saying on the card especially because I live in the heart of wine country in the Okanagan. I used three layers of the die cuts and coloured the image with Copics and chalk pastels. I added a grape leaf wine glass charm, ribbon and diamond glazed the wine glasses to resemble wine in the glasses.
Well back to my craft room I have a few non card projects I should get finished.
Have a creative day.

Butterflies in Bloom
My card tonight was made for a Paper Pretties challenge where you had to colour your image in something other than markers. I choose this pretty digi image from Paper Pretties called Buttterflies and Blooms and went in search of my pencil crayons. It has been a long time since they have been out of the drawer. I could not get my butterfly to have the depth I wanted so I then painted it with a Pearl Ex colour called oyster. I layered papers and the flowers to give some depth to the card. I edged the papers, rounded the corners, added bling, and cord to finish the card off.
Well that is all the crafting for the night. The messy craft room will have to wait until tomorrow. I seem to be more creative working in a mess, at least that is what I tell myself.
Have a creative day.

Cute Card Thursday - Sketch #175
Tonight’s creation was made for a card sketch challenge put on by Cute Card Thursday. I just came across their blog while searching the internet for something new and different. You can check them out at:
http://www.cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/
The stamps I used for the card by Inkadinkado (the bird) and Magenta (the flowers). My images were coloured with Copics. To add some interest I added some paper beads I made using this week’s tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers. I must have enjoyed making them because I now have a small jar of paper beads in every colour. It is a great way to use up those small scraps of paper. A button and some bling were added to complete the card.
Well I am headed back to my craft room to see if there is another card project for me tonight.
Be creative.

Party Time Tuesday - Anything Goes #2
I created this card for Party Time Tuesdays challenge #26 and titled the card "It's a Girl Thing". The card was inspired by today’s tutorial on paper beads from Splitcoast Stampers. The cute digi image is from one of the sponsors of this challenge; Paper Pretties is called PuRRRty Girl. I coloured the image with Copic markers, added ribbon, the paper beads and bling to complete the card. Had fun creating today but no house work done. Too bad so sad.
Have a creative day.

Enchanted Hallow - Cyrstal
This card was created for a card sketch swap for one of the yahoo groups I participate in. The Stamp Barn Rubber Art Stamps, a Canadian company created this pretty fairy named Crystal. The stamp series is called Enchanted Hallow. I coloured her with my Copics and embossed her wings with sparkling white embossing powder. The embossing powder I have to admit was an error because I thought I had glitter in my hand. Oh well some mistakes turn out okay not like the time I sprayed Elmer’s spray glue on 4 cards instead of Fixative.
Have a good time creating everyone.

Lets Play Pin the Tail in the Donkey - Party Time Tuesday # 26
I am a little slow getting my Party Time Tuesday card uploaded to my Blog. This fun digi "pin the tail on the donkey" image is by Paper Pretties, one of their great sponsors this week. The donkey's name is Desmond. I coloured him with copic markers and added the party stamp from my stash of unknown unmounted rubber stamps. Well back to my craft room to complete a couple of projects I am working on and as always clean up my room.
Get your creative hat on and have some fun.

Colourful Celebration
I used several different products to create this colourful celebration card. The flower stamps are by Sunshine Designs, the celebration stamp is by A Muse Artstamps and the bird image was a free image from Paper Smooches. Copics were used to colour the images and by using die cuts and punches I added several interesting layers and colours to the card.
Well I better call it a night. I will be back in my craft room tomorrow.

Stunning in Black and White
I layered three different die cuts to make this black and white wedding card.
The bride and groom stamp by A Muse Artstamps and the wedding cake is by Stampin Up were also layered. I think the pairing of these two stamps gives a nice effect. The pearls were added to give the card some elegance and bling.
I am back to my craft room to see what I can find to inspire me.
I will be back soon.

It is Barbecue Season!!
This card was created for a yahoo swap I am participating in called "Just Grillin". The cute little barbecue man is by Digitial Delights by Louby Lee, an interesting digitial company I just found online. . The "I'd Flip for You" rubber stamp is by Stampendous. I used a apron template for the background along with pattern paper, a brad and some ribbon.
Back to my stamp room and on to another card or two.
Have a good time creating ever one.

Coffee Theme Blog Hop card #2

Coffee Theme Blog Hop
I created these two coffee cups cards for my Yahoo Group Enjoy Michael Strong's Rubber Stamps Coffee Theme Blog Hop. To join in the hop you had to create a card, tag or whatever with a coffee theme using at least one Michael Strong's Rubber stamps. I found a free coffee cup template at and used Microsoft word to manipulate the size of the card.
http://www.freecraftdownloads.co.uk/paper/v/templates/Other/coffeecup1.jpg.html
To create the designs on the coffee cups I used the Cloisonné leaves and the Mosaic frame rubber stamps. I love challenges where you have to improvise and use what you have in your stash.
I had fun joining in the Blog Hop.

Colourful Flower Tag
My inspiration for this quick easy tag was the colourful background paper. I die cut the flowers in blue, red and yellow, ran them through the Big Shot in an embossing folder, layered the flowers and added some fabric brads from my stash. Next I added some complimentary fibres and finished the tag by adding a sentiment.
I had a good time in my craft room tonight. I am leaving the cleanup until tomorrow. Why spoil the night!

Round Hinged Card
I made this second card tonight for one of my Yahoo Group swaps. The assignment was to use brads on our cards. I created this hinged round card that I decorated with layered stamped flowers that were sprayed with a craft glaze and shimmer mist. I added a die cut bird and some glitter to give the card some sparkle.
I think it is time to call it a night.

In the Forest - Reverse Spotlight
After making the reverse spotlight card the other night I was looking at the photos I took on our camping trip to Well Gray park and wondered if there was something I could do with my photo and a stamped image. After some thought I came up with this design.
I think one of the great things about paper craft is that there is endless possibilities and you can experiment without a great investment or a lot of time.
I am heading back to my craft room to see what else I can come up with to night.

Reverse Spotlight
This card was made for one of my yahoo groups I belong to. The technique we were to use was reverse spotlight. The stamp Floral Collage by Stamps Happen had a natural spot to use for the technique. I coloured the image with Copic markers, added glitter for sparkle and a butterfly. You can find the technique on the Splitcoast Stampers web site although my card is a slight variation of their technique.

Get out your creative hat everyone. Crafting is the best therapy.

Small Pocket Cards
A swap assignment that I have coming up is for a pocket card. I wanted to make a pocket card to go in a size A2 envelope. I thought this little folded card fit my needs. I found a larger version of the card online and played with the measurements until it fit into the standard envelope. I then made two versions of the card. I think this cute pattern would work well for a thank you card.
Well back to my stamp room.

Miss You Miss You
Tonight I wanted to use the Dream Garden Table stamp by Rubber Stampede and came up with the idea of the chair being empty and missing the person who was suppose to be sitting it.
The background was created by inking the raised sections of the inside of the spider web Cuttlebug Embossing folder with Onyx Black ink by Versa Fine, adding the paper and then putting the folder through the Cuttlebug. If you try this technique remember not to use permanent ink and wash the folder immediately.
I added some colour, Diamond Glaze to the vase, bling, and then added a sentiment from See D's “Say it again” set.
Well back to my messing stamp room to cleaning up and then on to the next card.

Happy Bird-Day
This card was created for the “For the Birds” challenge on the group Enjoy Michael Strong’s Rubber Stamps. I used part of Michael’s mosaic frame along with an embossing folder, a little bird stamp by PSX, ribbon, Happy Bird-day by A Muse Artstamps , layers of paper and bling.
When I looked at the little bird rubber stamp for the company name I noticed that the date on the stamp was 1992. It must have been one of the first stamps I ever bought.
I better head off to bed. Sometimes when I am in my craft room I forrget about the time and before I know it is nearly morning.
Get creating everyone!
Judy
Music Expresses
This card was created with a collage of rubber stamps from some of my favourite rubber stamp companies. I stamped the alcohol inked papers with a music background stamp from my friend Lisa’s company called Local Rubber King.
The sentiment stamp is by Quiet Fire Designs another great Canadian company who has an inspiring collection of gentle thoughts rubber stamps and art supplies. The Food Sax Stylized stamp is by Viva Las Vegas Rubber Stamps.

Michael Strong's Rubber Stamps' Sketch Challenge
Tonight’s card I created for a Sketch Challenge for a group called Enjoy Michael Strong Stamps. I used the Kimono rubber stamp and cut it to make a blouse instead of a full dress. I added embellishments and coloured the outfits with Copic pens. The "adorable " stamp is by Hero Arts.
The Kimono stamp also comes with a Kimono die cut. I have seen some pretty fantastic iris folded cards made using the die cut. Check out Mike’s blog:

I am now headed back to my craft room to see what else I can make tonight.

Shop to You Drop
I was busy tonight creating this card for an upcoming card sketch swap. I love the cute shopping girl by Kenny Kiernan's digital stamps. The shopping bags and shoes are rubber stamps by Rusty Pickle, they seem to fit the theme well. Well back to my craft room. Judy
