Colour Challenge at Come and Get It Challenges

Calypso Coral, Pool Party, & Daffodil Delight are the colours of this challenge that design team member Meighan chose this week at Come and Get It Challenges.

I used this great dress stamp that I have had in my collection for a very long time by Inkadinkado, nearly as long as I have been stamping. I stamped and layered the dress on papers in the selected colours.  I then added ribbon, bling and some embossed punched hearts to complete my card.  I think my card is ready for a spring garden party.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Come join us at Come and Get It this week.  If you need some inspiration check out the designs of the other team members.

Quilt Style Card

I made this card for a upcoming swap I am participating in for the Rubber Inkers.  The theme of the swap is a "quilt style" card.

I used a pattern paper from my stash that I did not particularly like on it's own.  The paper was yellow with pink writing.  I then with a cube block stamp by Stampendous called Foliate Quad Cube stamped with navy ink the four different patterns of the cube and then cut out my squares.

I arranged my squares on navy paper and punched a scalloped border along the bottom of the card. To complete my card I added a die cut flower by Hero Arts and a ribbon.  Hope my partner in this card swap enjoys her card. Thank you for stopping by and have a creative day.

Holiday Wishes - Pinecones

Crafty Hazelnut Christmas Challenge this week is to make a Christmas card with three of something on it.  I chose to use three pieces of red bling.

To make the card I used this pretty pine cone image by Fred, She Said Design along with some glittery pattern paper. I coloured the images completely with tea dyed distress ink and then added glitter to the pine cones to give them a snowy effect.

To complete my card I added a reversible red/green ribbon, my bling and a printed sentiment that I altered. Hope you enjoy my card and have a fantastic week.

It is a Wild One

I made this tag for an upcoming tag swap at Inky Fun Stampers this week  The theme of the tag swap is "cats".  I got out a few of my rubber stamps to make the tag, including this majestic lion stamp.  Once I had stamped the tag with the lion I added a tree, leopard spots and flecks in the sky.  Once I was finished my stamping, I coloured the tag with my Distress Inks, added some coloured wool, seam binding and the wild one sentiment.

I hope my swap partner enjoys the tag and the is not expecting a domestic cat on her tag.   Thank you for taking the time to stop by and view my tag and have a good week.

May You Have the Gladness of Christmas

Meighan, one of the design team Christmas Elves at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges chose a wonderful challenge this week, Focus on Sentiment.    I think I have the most perfect set of stamps from Quiet Fire Designs for this challenge.  The set has several nice and different sentiments and I look forward to being able to use them in my upcoming Holly Jolly challenges.  I embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder.

The pretty papers I used were from a Christmas Stack by Little Yellow Bicycle called  25 days of  Christmas. To complete the card I added some white ribbon,
some star and bow tie of pearls.

Come join us this week at Holly Jolly and remember to have a creative day.

Welcome Little One

I unmounted my wheeled stamp by Stampin Up called Baby Tees to make this baby card.  I have never been good at using stamps on a roller and I really wanted this rubber stamp so when I got it I took it off the roller and mounted it on a cushion.  I thought of cutting the stamp into 5 individual Tees but did not go that far.

I used my Copic Markers to colour the images and then layered Graphic 45 papers behind the image.  The sentiment is a digital stamp I purchased from Hero Arts with a bundle of other baby stamps.

I made this card for the Come and Get it Challenge this week.  Please join us.  Need some inspiration , just pop over to their blog and see the cards created by the other design team members this week.  Everyone needs one or two baby cards on hand.

Time to Read

My Sheri Crafts this week has an interesting challenge called "Read Across America".  I am still playing snowbird in Arizona so I had to really put my thinking cap on to make a card for this challenge.

I searched my stash of odds and ends that I had brought with me for this trip and came across some pattern paper that had definitions of words on it and I also came across a calendar, some small scrapbook letters and a Big News scrap I had used part of for another collage.

I had this girl reading digital image from Kenny K. in my stash. I thought my findings would make an interesting card.  Under the special event column of the calendar I added the words "reading week" with the small scrapbook letters.  I then began arranging my collage. To have my pieces tie into each other I coloured them with Distress Inks and outlining some with a blue pen. The digital image was coloured with Copic Markers.  To complete my card I added a few brads and some bling.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative week.

A Christmas Tree

Cindy at Come and Get it Challenges chose the challenge this week and she picked a colour challenge of white or vanilla plus another colour of your choice only.

I used a vellum in a blue/green for the background of the card.  I embossed the vellum with a snowflake pattern. I love the look of embossed vellum.  I had embossed the Christmas tree on white card stock and rubbed the tree with a blue/green rub-on paste to highlight it and also rubbed the white strip I put behind the tree with the same colour.  I added a sentiment and my card is complete.

Hope you will join us at Come and Get It this week and thank you for stopping by.  Have a creative day.

Out of the Recycle Bin

I am the host of this week's challenge at Come and Get It and I thought it would be fun to challenge everyone to find something in your recycle bin to add to your card. I had this wonderful gift wrap paper that came on a gift I received awhile ago.  I thought it had an inspiring design.

I embossed my two trees with gold embossing powder to tie the trees to the design of the wrapping paper and coloured them with sparkling water colours.

Show us what you have found in your recycling bin and join us at Come and Get It this week.

Hello

This card was an exercise in pattern paper with a combination of a sketch for an upcoming card swap. I am still travelling in our RV and my paper supply is getting down.  I searched my scrap pile for some interesting combination of papers for this card. I even found a plaid button to go with the collection of papers. The stamp I chose is by Stampendous and with my Copic Markers I added some stripes to the gentlemen's suit to tie in the colours of my pattern paper.

Thank you for stopping by today and have a creative day.

Howdy

I made this card for a friend who loves horses.  My inspiration for this card was a painting that I saw in a gallery in Bisbee, Arizona called the Belleza Gallery.  I liked the effect I saw in A.M. Stockhill, the artist's work. She had painted her horses on printed book paper that told a story.  If you ever get to Bisbee check out the gallery. Belleza is owned and operated by the Renaissance House (fka WTP), a non-profit organization that provides its residents the opportunity to make the changes needed to become healthy and self-reliant.

The horse rubber stamp is from my collection of unmounted rubber stamps. Once I stamped my image on book paper I layered it with embossed paper and added a piece of a book that I had taken apart.  Not that my card actually looks anyway similar to Stockhill's painting it reminds me of a wonderful day I had in Bisbee.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog and have a creative day.

Fred, She said Designs is the sponsor this week at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges and I chose to use their Pine Come Spray for the image on my challenge card this week at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges.  One lucky winner will get a prize so please join in.

I added a sentiment by the Great Canadian Stamp Company and coloured the image with my Copic Markers.  I then used Art Glitter Glue and added snow to all of the pine cones and covered the glue with white glitter.  The paper I layered the card has a gold sparkle so I thought the card look complete.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative day.

Lady Couture Domino Book

Come and Get it Challenges this week is having a Anything Goes Challenge and the challenge is sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps.

For this challenge I made a Domino Book using a pad of beautiful pattern paper from  the Stack Company called Lady Couture.  The paper is the ultra chic stack showcases designs paper.

To create my book I cut my papers using the directions that I found on Scrapbook -Crazy's web site. I coloured the dominoes with Alcohol Inks and edged them with Martha Stewarts' micro beads, added some sentiments, ribbon and finally four beads for the feet of the book.

I had fun making the little book.  I hope you will join us this week at Come and Get It Challenges, anything but a card challenges are always fun.

Sewing Project

The Yahoo The Rubber Inkers are having a technique card swap this month and the technique is paper piercing.  I have been wanting to use this Tim Holtz stamp set that I purchased awhile ago and thought these stamps would be great with this technique.

My starting point was the background paper I had in my collection that had a ruler design on it. I also used several other coordinating pattern papers for the card, stamping some images on to the pattern paper and arranging them into a collage.  I then paper pierced around my sentiment and then with a needle and thread I stitched around the sentiment.
I used Tea Dye Distress Ink edge the project and added some black bling to complete the project.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Remember to do some creative for yourself and have a wonderful day.
