613 Avenue Create - Challenge - Anything Goes/Optional Twist Any Holiday

Time for another great creative challenge over at 613 Avenue Create. The Theme this month is as alway Anything Goes and the optional twist is to create a card for any holiday (your choice of holiday).

My choice for this challenge was the New Years Holiday.

This is my card.

My card was inspired by bubbles cards create by Teresa Kovalak that I found on YouTube.

Here  are a couple of her videos and there are many more on YouTube.

I made several different backgrounds with the technique, some which I may use in a frame.  You never know how they will turn out and it is fun to doodle on them.

Products that I used for the card are

Several brands of Alcohol Inks from my stash
An assortment of glass jars and shot glasses
An assortment of Sharpies and Posca Pens for Doodling
Yubo Paper
New Years Die Cut

Christmas Angel

Time for another great challenge at Creative Artiste.

Our theme is as always

"Anything Mixed Media Goes"

Please make sure you use multiple mediums on your projects. Please respect that we do not currently accept Instagram entries. Only correctly linked blog entries please.

You can now enter as many new projects as you like.

This is my canvas I created for this challenge.

The image I used for this challenge is from an old Christmas card.

For the background I added scrap of blue and white scrap designer paper from my stash to the canvas. I wanted an aged look the the project so I tea dyed my flowers and a chiffon table napkin with starts on it.  The napkin started out being white chiffon with silver stars.  I ended up using the reverse of the napkin  because the stars did not take to the tea dying but the stars on the reverse of the napkin  did take the colour so I used the reverse for my project.

Some closer looks

I added stenciled snowflakes to the canvas using a stencil from PipArt that I just love the quality of it.  I added some lace that I also tea dyed for more texture and some lace dye cuts.

I framed the angel  image , added gems, flowers (some that I tea dyed), blue ribbon, and some old Christmas decorations.  It was a fun canvas to do for this upcoming holiday season.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative week.  Remember to pop over to our challenge blog to be inspired by our talented design team. Happy Holidays, stay safe and we hope you will visit us next year.
