Fairytale Birthday

The theme of this weeks challenge at Crafty Cardmakers is a card for someone special.

I made this card for one of my favorite grand nieces for her birthday. She is going to be 10.  I used a fairy die cut for the card and layered it over so pretty designer paper from my stash.  I completed the card by adding a fairy tale birthday sentiment, gems and A Wink of Stella on the wings and sentiment to give the card sparkle.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative week.  Remember to stop by our challenge blog to view the inspiring cards of our creative designers.

By the Sea I long to Be

It is time for another challenge at Splashy Mix Challenges.

The winter season is nearly over and spring is just around the corner here in Canada.  Hopefully this morning is our last snow fall.  I am looking forward to the colours of spring and summer, lots of sunshine and warm days.

Hence we have the below moodboard and feel free to be inspired by anything below and join our challenge.

Moodboard

This is my canvas that I created for this challenge.

I have call the canvas "Near the Sea I Long to Be".  I grew up having the pleasure of being near the ocean, playing on the beach and being able to enjoy the pleasures of warm sea breezes and the summer suns.

For my canvas I used acrylic paints, die cuts, rubber stamps, shells, ink pens and cheese clothe for my net.  It was fun creating something from my past that was very important to me.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative month.  Hope you will join us in this March challenge and remember to visit our blog to be inspired by our creative design team.  We have some wonderful prizes for some lucky winners.

It is a Green Challenge

The theme of this weeks challenge at Crafty Cardmakers is "Green".

A friend gave me this pretty framed dragonfly and cattails die cut that I decided to use for this green challenge. The background of the card is done with alcohol inks which used several colours of green alcohol inks.  I coloured the dragonfly is with green, white and clear Nuvo Crystal Drops to give the card some texture and sparkle.
