Christmas Elves

I am hosting the the challenge at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges this week  and I chose a Christmas Elf Challenge.  Bugaboo is the sponsor this week and I used their cute Elf Pocket for my card.

I paper pieced my little elf,  I liked the paisley pattern paper of his pocket.   I added some glitter and bling for Christmas sparkle.

Hope you will join us this week.  Thank you for stopping by and have a creative week.

Christmas Calendar

This altered clip board was made for this weeks Not Just Cards challenge.   I used a Bugaboo Christmas image called Ava and Deacon Christmas Sign.  Bugaboo is one of our fabulous sponsors this week.  Check out Not Just Cards and see the beautiful work of the design team and the great sponsors and prizes we have.

I coloured my image with Copic Markers and Distress Ink, found a calendar on a google search and added some Christmas bling.  I hope you enjoy the project and will join us this week at Not Just Cards.

It's a Celebration

The products I used for my tag are:

  • Panpastels
  • Glitter pen
  • Glitter Dots
  • Copic Markers
  • Digital image called Lets Go Sassy
  • String of pearls
  • Bling
  • Sentiment from my stash
  • Vellum
  • Ribbon
  • Stencil by Tammy Laporte

Thank you for stopping to take a look.  Have a creative day.  Remember to stop by Not Just Cards to see the other projects of the design team.

Fairy Christmas

Thank you for stopping by, this  is one of my projects for Not Just Cards anything goes challenge this week. I thought I would make a Kleenex box cover for Christmas.  I think it would look cute in the bathroom.  I used a digital stamp from Bugaboo one of our sponsors of the challenge, called Fairy Christmas.

Once I figured out the dimensions of my box I constructed it and covered the box with some very pretty Designer Christmas paper.  I also used the paper on the back panel.  The image was coloured with a gelli pen, glitter and Copic Markers.  I used Tim Holtz's Holly dies for the holly and used glitter on the leaves and berries to give the project some Christmas sparkle.

Hope you will join in our challenge. Have a creative day.

Putting Up the Christmas Tree

I this is one of my projects I made for Not Just Cards this week.  The theme is anything goes and I made a post-it holder with a Christmas theme.

To make my Post It holder I purchased a dollar store plastic picture frame which I layed on its side to create my surface for the digital image, pen and the post it.

The image I used to make my project is a cute image from Robyns Fetish called Putting up the Christmas tree. The mouse and the tree were coloured with Copic Markers and glitter. The image was place inside of the picture stand.  I then added a pen and a die cut to complete the holder.

Thank you for stopping by.

It is a Pink and Silver Christmas

I  am hosting a challenge at Fitztown this week and the theme is a Pink or Silver Christmas.  I have made this tag to go on a gift for a little girl in my life.   I think the image I used from Fitztown's winter collection is just adorable.  She is called Winter 10 and can be purchased here

I used a dark silver glitter paper that I cut out with a Christmas bell diecut and cut my image out with a smaller one from the set. I trimmed the large diecut with pink paper.

The image was coloured with Copic Markers and a glitter pen.  Once I completed layering the diecuts I added a paper snowflake, snowflake button, pearl, ribbon and a bow.   I think this will look never nice on my little gift.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope your day is full of creativity.

Recycle, Re-Purpose and Re-Invent Challenge

It is an anything goes with re-cycling challenge this week at  Recycle, Re-Purpose and Re-Invent Challenges

I was excited to use the material girl's images from CS Designs for the Recycle, Re-Purpose and Re-Invent Challenges. For this assemblage I used this wooden box I found at a garage sale.   I had my husband cut some dividers for.

I used three different CS Designs' material girl pattern papers to line the walls and floors of the assemblage.  The fabric on the wall behind the scissors is the same fabric in the pinkers. I added several of the yarn and button cards also from the material girl collection along with threads and buttons.

The pinkers, sewing machine needles, tape and sewing machine bobbins I found at the local thrift store .  The whole package was $2.00 which turned out to be a bargain because I googled the  pattern number on the pinkers and they were made in 1930 and are worth at least $29.00 according to Ebay.

The Singer scissors, old spool, wool and needle were also from my stash of things I may use some day.  To complete the project I added the cute lace dress form from CS Designs

I loved making this project. Hope you will join us this week for the anything goes challenge at  Recycle, Re-Purpose and Re-Invent Challenge

Recycle, Re-Purpose, RE-Invent Going Postal Challenge

Recycle, Re-Purpose, Re-Invent is having another great challenge this week and the theme is Going Postal. I had lots of fun with this challenge.

For my desk I used a wooden box from a laboratory I found at a garage sale years ago and filled it with articles that you would find on a desk.

For the background and the desk's blotter I used on of CS Designs digital papers called How Do I Love Thee.  I edged the paper with Distress Inks to age it. To add some more interest I added glasses, keys, straight nib pen.

For the background I also used a few of CS Designs digital postal stamps that I  coloured with Copic Markers, layered, cut out  and arranged on the back of the desk.   I rubbed on Distress Ink on the Avon bottle to give it an antique look.

My picture holder in the desk is a candle holder. I  cut out one of the butterflies from one of the postal stamps and added it to the picture on the desk. I then added an old postcard, cord, and a letter to the desk.

I had lots of fun with this design.  I hope you will join this interesting challenge this week.  Hop over to our challenge blog, Recycle, Re-Purpose, Re-Invent and see the projects the other design team members have created to inspire you.
