Welcome to my crafting blog. After retirement, my husband and I moved to a beautiful location in the Okanagan area of British Columbia. I love all paper crafts including mixed media, journaling and cards. I also dabble in papermaking, photography, fibre art, and altered books. I am an active member of several card and mixed media groups and on the design team of several challenge blog. I love the world of blogging, it has opened many doors for me. My favourite quote is by Maya Angelou. “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” I hope you join me in my search for my creative side. Thanks for stopping by!

A Place to Start - January, 2026 Anything Goes, Optional twist Rainbows (lots of Colours)

Time for another great challenge over at A Place to Start.  The challenge as always is Anything Goes and this month's optional twist is Rainbows. Create a project using lots of colour.

This is the card I made for our first challenge of 2026. The Unicorn image on this card is from a company found on Esty, https://pngtree.com/so/unicorn.

Along with the unicorn image I used butterflies , glitter paper, pens and Nuvo to give the card more colour, interest and texture.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative week. I am looking forward to see you colourful creations this month.

Hope you will join us this month, just create your card and enter it here. Remember to pop over to our challenge blog to be inspired by our talented design team.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative month.

JANUARY 2026 - 613 Avenue Create ANYTHING GOES w/ OPTIONAL TWIST CHEERS TO THE NEW YEAR

Welcome to our first challenge over at 613 Avenue Create for 2026. The challenge as always is anything goes. Challenge Twist:  Cheers to the New Year (create something featuring any beverage)

This is my project for this challenge, a book with saying about wine.

Judy

The wine saying came from different producers for wine sentiments.

I used the sentiments from the following rubber stamp artists along with other stamps that I know longer know who created them.

Funny Bones
Rubbernecker Stamps
Quiet Fire design
Scrapbooking.com
Karen Burnston

I used wine cutting dies from
Forever Time
Metal Charms

There are 6 pages in the book with pockets  that are decorated and 11 pages total also to decorate.

I used many different cutting dies on my book pages.
The lettering is from the dollar store.
I used Copic markers on some of the leaves and berries.
The book contains pocket pages with areas to do your notes or creative projects
Clear Nuvo on some of my berries for shine and texture
Tim Holtz bingo letters for the year - which I added purple glitter

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative week.  Happy New Years. I am looking forward to seeing all of your creations in 2026.

Hugs Judy
