Welcome to my crafting blog. After retirement, my husband and I moved to a beautiful location in the Okanagan area of British Columbia. I love all paper crafts including mixed media, journaling and cards. I also dabble in papermaking, photography, fibre art, and altered books. I am an active member of several card and mixed media groups and on the design team of several challenge blog. I love the world of blogging, it has opened many doors for me. New Years 2012

This card was created for an upcoming swap I have with one of the Yahoo groups I belong to called The Inky Fun Stampers. One of this month’s swap challenges was to create a New Years card. The little guy spray painting the upcoming year on the wall is a free digi image by Sliekje’s Digi Stamps. I love the little blue jean outfit he is wearing.

After giving the image some colour I added stars in red and silver. I then punched the corners with a star corner punch that I have had for years and I believed never used. I then added some bling and a sentiment to complete the card.

The card is quite colourful and welcoming of the new year.
