Welcome to my crafting blog. After retirement, my husband and I moved to a beautiful location in the Okanagan area of British Columbia. I love all paper crafts including mixed media, journaling and cards. I also dabble in papermaking, photography, fibre art, and altered books. I am an active member of several card and mixed media groups and on the design team of several challenge blog. I love the world of blogging, it has opened many doors for me. Birthday Card for My Husband



I just finished this birthday card for my husband's birthday this week.  I am sure he will not see it since he never looks at my blog.   I had fun making the card.  The background was made by putting distressed inks in the embossing folder and spritzing it with water and the putting the folder with the paper in it through the Sizzix. 

The owl image is a stamp from Stampendous that I just love. He was coloured with Copics and I added diamond glaze to his watch.   The sentiment was a saying I found on the internet at Barb's World of Whimcees. She has a get list of sentiments for Owl cards.
