I made these mixed media House for a challenge this month at Altered Eclectics. I used many different products for houses. I retrieved the wood for my house out of my husband's wood scrap pile. He nicely cut me some roofs. I had lots of fun making the houses although it was a bigger job than I thought it would be. The shelf is 3 feet long and the tallest house is a foot in height.
Here is a closer look at the houses.
On my white house I added a die cut tree, bike (made by my hubby) rubber stamped numbers and little girl, name tiles and a clock.
The on the green house I used crackle paint on the roof and model paste on the door frame. I also added some rubber stamped flowers and, tiles, wooden hear and a button for the door.
On my red house I drew my windows and my door and painted them, added the Tim Holtz number, gear for the door handle, stamped Owl's nest, and a owl I found at a thrift store that I altered.
On my last house I used a stencil on the roof and sides of the house. I painted on the doors and windows and decoupaged the grass that I drew, stamped the door and added house number and door knob.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you will join us this month at Altered Eclectics. Have a creative day.
