Time for another Anything Goes challenge at Altered Eclectics. This month I decided to get out my Encaustic waxed and create a mixed media board with them. The background of the board was done with several colours of wax which the blue and silver sections were mixed with small glass beads. I used masking tape to divide the layers.
Once I had my basic design I added a few findings. The star fish were from a dollar store and I coloured them with alcohol inks. The small beads were from my stash and the shell was made using a shell mold and thick embossing powder. I coloured the shell also with alcohol ink and then added a little glitter. All the findings were glued down with wax. Once the wax was total set I buffed the piece with an old nylon to bring out the shine.
Thank you for stopping by and have a creative day. Remember to stop by the Altered Eclectics challenge board to see the beautiful creations of all the design team members.

ReplyDeleteThis is amazing Judy,as I look at it,it looks like each section is overlaying the other, like the waves coming on over the sand...just fabulous.
