Welcome to my crafting blog. After retirement, my husband and I moved to a beautiful location in the Okanagan area of British Columbia. I love all paper crafts including mixed media, journaling and cards. I also dabble in papermaking, photography, fibre art, and altered books. I am an active member of several card and mixed media groups and on the design team of several challenge blog. I love the world of blogging, it has opened many doors for me. My favourite quote is by Maya Angelou. “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” I hope you join me in my search for my creative side. Thanks for stopping by!

Dress to Thrill

It is February and finally time to get back creating for Altered Eclectics.  This is my first creation for 2017 for the group.  I had fun updating my glass bottles.  I am not sure what these bottles were used for .  I found them at a flea market a few years ago.

This is what I started with.

To alter my bottles I painted them with chalk paint, added painted chains to the ankles, and then added the gems, flowers and lace. To complete the shoes I added a "inspire" tattoo on one shoe and a "dress to thrill" on the other shoe using rubber stamps from my stash.

Here are some closer looks.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative month.  Hope to join us this at Altered Eclectics. Remember to pop by the our challenge blog to see the very creative projects our talented design team have created to inspire you.

I am entering my altered bottles i the following challenges
