Welcome to my crafting blog. After retirement, my husband and I moved to a beautiful location in the Okanagan area of British Columbia. I love all paper crafts including mixed media, journaling and cards. I also dabble in papermaking, photography, fibre art, and altered books. I am an active member of several card and mixed media groups and on the design team of several challenge blog. I love the world of blogging, it has opened many doors for me. Halloween Altered Box, Anything Goes at Steampunk Challenges


 If you have not hear we have a new challenge blog called Steampunk challenges.  This is our second monthly challenge. We are a Steam . Grunge . Industrial themed blog.  Check us out here.  

This months challenge is anything goes and I decided to create an altered Halloween box. 

This is the box I started with.  I sanded it and applied a layer of gesso to the entire box. 


To create my Halloween theme box I used an assortment of napkins, Halloween papers, metal pieces along with some steampunk elements, crackle paste and antiquing solutions. 





I used a plastic Halloween partial skeleton for the handle for my box that I coloured with antiquing solution and glued with E6000.
