Party Time Tuesday's challenge was to create a card using a very pretty underwater scene as the inspirations. I immediately thought of a technique I read about in the June/July 2011 Technique Junkies magazine called Copic Sections. I think a better name for the technique would be faux mosaics.
I used a digi image for the shells from Digitial Doddles. It was the first time I had every used more than one digi on a card. I had to learn how to spin the images and try to place them randomly on the card face. I do need more practice in this area.
I used “Art Glitter”, a designer white glue from Art Institute Glitter Inc. to create the faux grout lines. I used various colours of Copics to colour the mosaic pieces and an EK punch to give the paper ribbon some style. I like trying different techniques and being able to apply them to challenges.
I am going to be away from my blog for a few days, we are off on a camping trip but I will be back posting early next week.
Have fun creating everyone.
