Month long Christmas Challenge at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges

This is one of my projects for our month long Christmas Challenge at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges

I used an image from one of our sponsors, QKR Stampede. The image is called  Caroling Snowman .

Here is a closer look.

I used an old book cover for my base of my wall hanging and covered it with burlap that I  painted white and blue. I added strips of glittered paper for the snow on the ground, Tim Holtz pine trees that I painted with white acrylic paint.  I added my caroling snowman that I coloured with Copics and a few glitter pens. I made the hanger out of a piece of wire from a stash in my husband's shop. To complete the hanging I added a large snowflake die.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you will join in our Christmas Challenge this month at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge.

Tag It

Tags are the theme of this week at  Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges and I have made my tag with one of our sponsor's image, Christmas Candle by Stitchy Bear

My background for the tag is made with a collage of Hampton Art rubber stamps, coloured with Distress Inks. I used distress inks and Copics to colour the candle and then added some pearl Ex for some shine. I added a ribbon and Peace die cut to complete the care.  Thank you for stopping by and have a very creative day.

Gold and White for Christmas

The digital image is from Sticky Bear Digital Stamps one of the sponsors at this week's Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges.  The theme of the challenge is to create a card using only the colours of white and a colour of your choice. The name of the image that I used for the card is Christmas Sled.

I used Spellbinders Nestabilities Label 8 to cut out my layers of while and gold.  I also used a snowflake embossing fold by Darcie on one of my white layers. I cut the Christmas sentiment out of gold and white cards stock and then layered the tow sentiments together.  The sled was coloured with Copic colours Y21, Y23, Y26, and Y28.  A gold and white bow was added to complete the card.

I hope you'll join us for this fun challenge. Pop over to the Holly Jolly blog to see the beautiful Christmas card creations of the rest of the Design Team.   Thank you for stopping by and have a creative day.
