Welcome to my crafting blog. After retirement, my husband and I moved to a beautiful location in the Okanagan area of British Columbia. I love all paper crafts including mixed media, journaling and cards. I also dabble in papermaking, photography, fibre art, and altered books. I am an active member of several card and mixed media groups and on the design team of several challenge blog. I love the world of blogging, it has opened many doors for me. This is my card I made for this challenge using The Most Adorable Easter Bunny by The Paper Shelter

I just love this cute image from Paper Shelter.  The image package is so nice. It included non coloured images and several different versions of the sweet bunny. 

The designer paper I used for the card is from my stash and I no longer have the designers name. I coloured the image with my Copics and pencil crayon.

Through the Craft Room Door- Anything Goes October Challenge

The image I used for this card is called The Fairy of the  Roses.




To create my card I coloured the image with my copics, pencil crayons, Nuvo, and Geli pen.  I added some die cut flowers, butterfly ands sentiment.  The background paper is from a paper pack called by Craft Consortium.

I think this Pixie image is very cute.  Perfect for a little girls birthday  card. 

To create the card I used

Through the Craft Room Door Challenge - Anything Goes


Time for another challenge at Through the Craft Room Door, as always the theme is anything goes. 

I used a digital stamp from The Paper Shelter to make my card.  The image is called Cute Dressmaker

Study To You Are Nutty

613 Avenue Create has another Anything Goes Challenge this month and the optional twist is School Days

I used this image from The Paper Shelter called Back to School to create my canvas. 


 My canvas was painted with two blue acrylic paints then the dots were created with a stencil and white acrylic paint. 

The back to school image, bus and pencils were coloured with Copic markers. 
The number stamp is an old Ranger stamp/Dylusions from my stash. 
I added wooden letter, sentiments,and paper layers were added to complete the Back to School collage.

I used a image called Pixie Caramel Macchiato for this card. Isn't she sweet. 

 I coloured the card with copics and pencil crayon and mounted the image on a piece of designer paper and added sparkle amd crystal Nuvo to the image.  The  sentiment I thought was cute and I found it on Pinterest.

Time For Tea


Time for another great Anything Goes Challenge over at Through the Craft Room Door. This is the card I made with our sponsor, The Paper Shelter image called Tea Time


 I used a die by Elizabeth Craft to cut my card frame then added my images by The Paper Shelter coloured with Copics and a Wink of Stella .  After I completed my colouring I added a frame to the sections using some designer paper from my stash.  To complete my card I added a sentiment "Time for Tea".

Welcome Little One


I made this baby card for a friends new baby using a image from The Paper Shelter.  I loved this image and thought it went well with this pretty designer paper I had in my stash.

I coloured the image with Copic markers, fussy cut the image out and then layered it on my mix of  designer papers.  I also added some die cut stars and a sweet baby sentiment.   I  used gel pens, Nuvo Crystal Drops, and a Wink of Stella to add texture, shine and colour.

Winter Fun at Crafty Gals Corner

I used several different products for the project including
gesso, silver paint,  Pentart snow paste, Nuvo crystal drops, copics , die cute snowflakes, dollar store snowflakes, glitter paper, gel pens and gem.  I used a regular image of the  snowboard girl along with the reverse image.  The image can be found in the winter collect or individually here.

Back to School in Colour


The theme of the challenge this month over at Splashy Mix Challenges is "Back to School" this month.

I painted my canvas with gesso and used a number stencil to added some random numbers with texture paste. Next I added some colours in acrylic paints,  stenciled some pink hearts and some stamped some swirls. 



The image I used on my project is a digital image from The Paper Shelter. I coloured her with Copics. I thought it was perfect for this themed project. I went through my stash of paper for colours that I could use on the background papers, tags etc. I played with the layers until I found a look that I liked. I also added some wooden letters, school bus, sentiments and a brad.

Happy Thanksgiving



Time for another challenge at Eclectic Ellapu and the theme of this challenge is Thanksgiving.  I had this cute digital image by The Paper Shelter that I used for my card.  I thought he was such a cute happy looking turkey. 

The card die I used was from Cheery Lynn collection is called Centre Step die. I coloured my image with my copic markers and pencil crayons.  I layered my card base with fall coloured designer papers from my large paper stash and then added brads, a banner and a wooden gear to complete the card.

Autumn Coloured Card Challenge


The theme of the card challenge at Craft Cardmakers this week is Autumn. I used a beautiful digital image from The Paper Shelter called Autumn Enchantment  for my card. 

 I made this card for one of my nieces for her upcoming birthday. I just loved the image.  I coloured the image with Copics, gelli pen and pencil crayons. To complete the card I added layered autumn designer papers, some recycled silk flowers and a sentiment.

Getting Ready for Easter

It is an Easter Challenge at Crafty CardMakers this week and I have made this card for the challenge.  The image is from The Paper Shelter and was coloured with Copics.  I love this fun Easter Bunny painting the egg image.  He has lots of character.  

I added Diamond Glaze to the rabbits glasses and paint palette to give the cards some texture and shine. To complete the card I added a banner and a sentiment.
