Welcome to my crafting blog. After retirement, my husband and I moved to a beautiful location in the Okanagan area of British Columbia. I love all paper crafts including mixed media, journaling and cards. I also dabble in papermaking, photography, fibre art, and altered books. I am an active member of several card and mixed media groups and on the design team of several challenge blog. I love the world of blogging, it has opened many doors for me. Colour Me Wonderful


Use your favourite colour medium is the theme of this weeks challenge at Incy Wincy Designs.  Lacy Sunshine is one of our sponsors this week and I am using their stamp called Eleanor the Artist

I had to think about my favourite medium quite a bit.  It seems to vary from week to week but for sure when colouring digital images I prefer Copic markers.  I love the selection of colours and the easy of shading etc.

Winter Holiday


This is a card I made for this weeks challenge at Come and Get Challenges. The theme of the challenge is Winter Holidays.  The image is called Lil Peanut's Christmas Tree and is by our sponsor Lacy Sunshine. Isn't she a cute image.  



The sentiment is a rubber stamp by Just Rite Stamps. The image was coloured with Copics and glitter and I added some snow to complete the winter holiday card.

Christmas Gift Bag


Crafting with Friends has another great anything goes challenge this week. Lacy Sunshine is the sponsor of the challenge. I have used their digital image called Frozen Lilac Flower Pot Pretty

I used a brown paper lunch bag as my base to the gift bag.   I coloured my image with glitter and Copics and then layered die cut snowflakes, Christmas tree and a poinsettia on the bag.  I sprayed the poinsettia with a light blue ink spray and then added some gems to give the bag some sparkle. I added glitter to my snowflakes.  To compete the project I added a sentiment from Just-Rite stamps.

Happy Fall Ya'll




I made this card for this weeks Come and Get It's Happy Fall Ya'll Challenge at Come and Get It this week.   I love this Lacy Sunshine image I used to create my card called Melancholy Moppet Lady Heather's Curiosities.  She is so adorable. 



I used a couple of rubber stamp from my stash to make the leaves for the card that I coloured with Distress Inks. My Lacy Sunshine image was coloured with Copics.   I used a stitched circle rubber stamp  for the background paper  and used a crisp and cool button sentiment to complete the card.

Inspired by a Christmas Carol - Deck the Halls


Inspired by a Christmas Carol is this weeks theme at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges.   Lacy Sunshine is one of the sponsors of the challenge and I chose this cute image called Deck the Halls for my card.  Can you guess the Christmas song that this image inspire me for this card?

One Scary Night


This is my second project for Forever Dark this month using a Lacy Sunshine image called Lucille.   Lucille can be fore in Lady Heather's  Curiosities and Peculiarities shop


Along with colouring my image with my copic markers I added some rubber stamped cats, and bats and die cut spiders to to the card. Lacy Sunshine Button Challenge


This is my project using a cute free image I received from  Lacy Sunshine Facebook group.  Her name is Izzybella Boo Cute As A Button and I am entering it in their cute as a button challenge. 

I coloured my image with Copic Markers and a white gell pen. I added some flower stamps by Majenta, butterflies cut out of some paper by MME called Sunny. I added some punched grass and buttons and baker's twine for flowers which I doodled the stems and leaves.  Thank you for stopping by and have a creative day.

Layers of Silver





I am pleased to announce that I am on the Incy Wincy Design team and this is my first post.  This week's post is "Mom's the Word" and Lacy Sunshine is the sponsor of this challenge. 




I decided to use an image called Darla Dogwood Blooming Beauty for my elegant Mother's Day card I used shade of gray and lilac for my card because these were favourite colours of my mom.  I layered the image on several elegant papers and added some handmade flowers and a sentiment to complete the card.

Painting the Fence


From the Lacy Sunshine Facebook group I received this cute Rory Painter digi and I entered it in their facebook challenge.  Isn't she cute. I coloured her with my Copic markers and added Diamond Glaze over the dripping paint to give it a wet look.  I added a Cricut cut fence, punched leaves, die cut clouds  and some small flowers to complete the card.

Butterfly Girl



For this week at Come and Get It Challenges it is a WInged thing challenge.  I have used an images from one of our sponsors, Lacy Sunshine  . The image is called Becca Butterfly Flowers Flower Pot Pretties

I thought I would make an Easel card to show off this pretty lady. Isn't she just my flowers adorable, she was fun to colour.  I used some designer paper from my stash and cut out some butterflies and made pattern the flowers out of the same stash of paper.

Come and Get It's Christmas Challenge



Come and Get It has a Christmas challenge this week.   I chose to use an image from Lacy Sunshine, one of our sponsors called  Lucy Boo's Christmas Package  .  I think she is very cute.  The sentiment is a rubber stamp by A Muse ArtStamps. 

I diecut my layers of paper with my Lil' Inker Design stitch dies, coloured my image with Copic Markers and added snow with Flower Soft.  To complete my card I added my ribbon, sentiment and bling.

Non-traditional Colours


Thanks for stopping to take a look at my card.  I made this card for a challenge over at Lacy Sunshine, "show us Goth or non traditional hair etc".   This is my card for the challenge.
