New Digs!

It is an Anything Goes challenge at Party Time Tuesday (#74) this week and I created this New Digs card for the challenge.

This beach hut digi stamp is by Make it Crafty from their Island Collection. The row boat and the sentiment are unmounted stamps from my stash.

I think this card would be a great card for someone moving into a place at the beach or moving into a vacation home.

Thank you for stopping by and taking a look and I hope you have a creative day.

I am also entering this card in the Inspire Me Friday challenge (#65).

Hummingbird

This week at Party Time Tuesday (#74) the theme is "Anything Goes". This card is a simple card made with two different die cutting stencils from Dee’s Distinctively, a hummingbird and a fern. I used three different papers for the the card along with brown pearls for the card. I curled the feathers and used pop dots to add some dimension.

The humming bird die cut is interesting because you can make the bird is several different poses. I love the soft colours of this card.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative day.

Bingo Challenge at Papertake Weekly

Inside

This card was created for the bingo challenge at Papertake Weekly Challenges this week. I chose the row for my challenge card of ribbon, gems and punches. I used this folded card pattern to create my card, it is a modified version of the six fold card pattern.

To create the front of the card I used several die cuts, brads, and ribbon. I also used two different coordinating pattern papers. For the inside of the card I used more die cuts and punches and a gem in the center of my flower.

I like the way this square little card turned out. It will make a nice little card to go with a gift.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a creative day.

3,2,1 Challenge - Dresser Card

It is hostess choice at Come and Get it Challenges this week and the challenge is recipe card,  3, 2, 1.
3 brads or buttons, 2 pattern paper and ribbon.

As soon as I seen the three brads I thought of this dresser pattern that I have been wanting to try. I added the three brads to the drawers, one of the pattern papers I used was from the Graphic 45 , Little Darling paper pack and the pattern paper used on the dress was from my scraps. The ribbon and bow on  the dress is from some ribbon with bows I had in my stash. The baby dress stamp is by A Muse Artstamps.  I used distress inks to ink the edges of the card and dresser and to add a little interest to the card I added the lace coming out of the drawer.

I really enjoyed making this card and think I will try to make a few more with different themes. Come and join the fun this week at Come and Get it Challenges.

Thanks for stopping by today and happy crafting.

It is Card Sketch Time

This week’s challenge is a card sketch by Leslie at Come and Get it Challenges and the challenge is sponsored by "Bugaboo". They are offering a prize for one participant which will be chosen by Random org. I just love their digi images.

This is Leslie’s sketch:

This is my card:

I used a flower trio digi by Bugaboo for this card which I coloured with my Copics and edged in distress ink. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the ribbon and when the card was assembled I sprayed it with gold Glimmer Mist.  My final touch was the sentiment "inspire" and inspire  Leslie’s sketch did.

Bella and the Butterfly

Craft Your Passion Challenges has a anything goes challenge this week. I made this card for the challenge using a elements stamp by Lazar Studio Werx called Bella and a mesh background stamp by Stamping Up.

To colour the image I layered many layers of distress ink and then used the spritz and flick technique from the Tim Holtz’s Chemistry 101 online class to give the card some interest. I like the way the water plays with the inks on the paper.

My ribbon was not quite the right colour so I used some of my inks to dye it to coordinate with my card.

I am also entering this card in the Crafty Ann’s Challenge Blog # 67- It’s a Girl Thing.

Thank you for stopping by.

Christmas Carolers

This week’s challenge at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges was picked by Julie and she chose "Christmas Carolers".

The rubber stamp I used for this card is my Stamps Happen, Inc called Victorian Carolers. There is a lot of detail in the stamp so I did not add a lot embellishments. The card reminds me of the old time Christmas cards I saw growing up.

Come join us at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges, have some fun and get your Christmas cards done early this year.

Everyday Holds the Possibility of a Miracle

Inside

Shopping Your Stash Challenge (#64) this week is a Father’s Day or a masculine card. For this challenge I made this recessed card with a moose stamp that I have in my stash for a very long time. I used white sparkle embossing powder on the moose and the sentiment. You can find the directions for the card here.
I love the look of the pine needle paper with the combination of black and green. The moose sits nicely in the recess window.
Have a great day. Do something creative for yourself.

Snip and Tuck

At Joyful Stampers it is Inspire me Fridays (#62), anything goes. I made this butterfly card for this challenge.

I found this neat pattern on the web site Robins Craftroom called Snip and Tuck. With the Snip and Tuck you HAVE to see how it works in order to get the card open! You can find the directions to make the card here.

Once I had the pattern for the card made I added a die cuts wreath and butterfly, ribbon, bling and a pretty soft yellow bow to complete the card. I love the dainty colours of the pattern paper and the bow.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Card Sketch Time at Michael Strong Rubber Stamps

I have completed my card sketch challenge for on of my favourite Yahoo groups, Enjoy Michael Strong Stamps. Along with the sketch provided for the challenge you must use at least one of Michael’s stamps. For this sketch I used his small Cloisonne crane and a couple of his Cloisonne medallions.
This is the card sketch:

This is my card:

Some of the other elements that made up the card are:
  • the large background paper was coloured with Distressed Inks
  • the large circle was a piece of paper from my stash that I had made playing with some inks and an air gun
  • the purple flower was made with a Martha Stewart punch
  • the blue flower was a Tim Holtz die cutter
  • the white medallion was made with a EK punch and embossed
  • the sentiment was by Hero Art

Bloom in Colour

It is time again for another challenge at Come and Get it Challenges and it is all about the colours So Saffron, Pretty in Pink, Wisteria Wonder and Certainly Celery. What a pretty colour combo.

When I think of these colours I think of the flowers and butterflies you find in a garden. The fun stamp I chose for this card is by Stampa Rosa called by Marna.  I added several different die cuts in the colour theme to accent the garden scene. The "bloom" sentiment is a digi stamp by Pink Cats Studio.

Hope you will join us at Come and Get it Challenges this week.

Luvvy Owl

They have a subtle and soft colour combination for this week’s challenge at Dynamic Duos Challenge (#6).The colours are "regal rose and basic gray".

I used this digi image from Digital Delights called Luvvy Owl to make this small round card. I used paper piecing to create the owl and painted the dots of his eyes with Liquid Pearl, white opal to give them some sparkle.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative day.

Precious Little Angel

Party Time Tuesday (#71) is celebrating the Queen’s birthday with a "Royal Treatment" challenge, anything shiny. I thought immediately of this cute Paper Shelter digi image I had in my stash. I think she looks like a little princess sitting on the swing.

For something shiny I added pearls to the card in pale blue and yellow. I think the pink and white gingham ribbon adds a sweet touch to the card.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Trifold Card - Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges

Inside

Good morning fellow crafters, I am your hostess this week at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges and my turn to pick the challenge. My choice for this week’s challenge was a “trifold card”. There are six different versions of the trifold on Split Coast Stampers Website. You can do something traditional or try something different. Check them out here.

The challenge this week is sponsored by Robyn’s Fetish Digital Stamps and the winner of this week’s challenge will be awarded 5 digital stamps!

Random org will pick the winner of the Robyn’s Fetish Digital Stamps and the hostess will pick the winner, who will be awarded our Winners Badge for their blog.

I made my card with the Cami's Trifold design. It was the first time I had tried the design and liked the challenge it gave.  I used the cute teady bear image from Robyns Fetish and used the paper piecing technique for parts of the bear and my Copic Markers for some of the colouring. To complete the card I added some glitter to the hat, ribbon, a sentiment by Stampin Up and a couple of bells.

Come join in the challenge. All you have to do is create your trifold card and link your card to Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges here.

Magic Is Something You Make

Fashionable Stamping Challenges (#22) this week has an interesting challenge, create something that is "Mystical and Very Magical". When I saw the challenge I immediately thought of a Wizard rubber stamp from Stamps Happened, Inc. that I had in my stash. I coloured the wizard with my Pilot gold pen and my Copic Markers.

I searched my stash for elements to make up my tag. I used a cloud stamp on the background then added stars, Diamond Glaze , a metal "spirit" tag, fibers, and a sentiment. I trimmed the edges of many of the elements with my Krylon Gold pen to make the elements pop out.

Thank you for stopping by and have a magical day.

Embrace Life

Party Time Tuesday’s Challenge (#70) this week is Anything Goes. I choose to do a Stamping Silhouettes technique. I checked out Jennifer McGuire Ink web site for ideas on Stamping Silhouettes.

I embossed my Chapel Road rubber stamp called Queen’s Ann’s Lace with Pearluster Amethyst embossing powder then rubbed three colours of distressed inks into the background. To complete the card I added a ribbon, sentiment by JustRite Stamps and a butterfly.

Thanks for stopping by.

Floral Collage

Flowers and butterflies, one of my favourite themes for a card and that is what the challenge is at Come and Get it Challenges this week.

I printed the digi image by Arty Pants Digital Stamps on water colour paper. I copied the butterfly a second time so I could cut out the wings and layer them on the card.

I coloured the images with a paint brush, water and distressed inks. I think the inks gives the card an antique look. I also trimmed the card with a lace punch by Martha Stewart to add more interest and continue the antique theme of this Flora Collage card.  I resisted adding glitter to the card because I thought it was busy enough with  such a detailed image.

We’re excited to see what all of you come with this week at Come and Get it Challenges! Hope you’ll join us.

I would also like to enter this card into Party Time Tuesday’s challenge(#70) this week - anything goes.

Colourful Chickadee

They have a bold and sassy color combination for this week’s challenge at Dynamic Duos Challenge (#5). The colours are "real red and island indigo".

I used a few different die cutters to create this card:

  • Chickadee by Dee’s Distinctively for the bird
  • Branch by Memory Box
  • Three different Spellbinders Nestabilities for layering
  • Tim Holtz Flora cutter
I found the red and white brad and the polka dot red and white ribbon in my stash and added them to finish the card, Thank you for stopping by and have a creative day.
