This is my first post using Fitztown's digital images and I am excited about being a guest designer for the next 6 weeks.  I chose to use a Morgan Fitzsimon's digital stamp for my first challenge, Anything Goes with a twist.  My
twist is that I used lace on my card along with some flowers that I had painted to co-ordinate with my image.

Check out the images at Fitztown and join in the our challenge this week. Check out the cards of the rest of the design team have created to inspire you. Hope you will join in.  Create a card with one of Fitztown's images and enter it here

Fred, She said Designs is the sponsor of this challenge and they have a lovely prize for one lucky winner.   I used their digi image called fallen maple leaf for my card. Very fitting for a fall themed card.

Hope you will come and join us this week.  Thank you for stopping by.

Buttons, Buttons and More Buttons

My turn this week at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges to chose the challenge theme and I chose  a button theme.  Create your Christmas card or our Christmas project and use one or more buttons.

I used a variety of buttons and green crystal drops to decorate my die cut Christmas tree. The tree was lined with a Krylon gold leafing pen. Layers or glittered paper and a sentiment complected the card.

Come and join us at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges this week.  Just create your card and enter it here.

Thanks for stopping by.

Winged Hues

I joined a card swap this month with the theme of winged house.  I decided to use this dragonfly stamp I had made by Stamps Happen Inc.  I have had this stamp for a very long time and have always enjoyed the simple design.

I added some die cuts after colouring my images with my copics with the winged hues colours.  I like the simplicity of this card.

Thank you for stopping.  Have a creative day.

Come and Get It Challenges with week has a birthday theme card challenge.  I made this autumn birthday card using a leaf punch, wood grain embossing folder, flourish die cut, ribbon and and some fun brads.

The maple leaves are punched from mix media paper left over from another project. Once the card was assembled I misted the card with a copper coloured spray mist.

Try a New Technique

This card was made for an upcoming technique swap at Technique Junkies. I used a technique from their August/September issue called blocked background tutorials.

I used a fern unmounted rubber stamp from my stash for the background.  the sentiment is by Inkadinkado and the butterfly is a Provo Craft die cut out of a piece of Encaustic art that I made in my first Encaustic art class.

Thanks for stopping by.

Shopping for Christmas

Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges this week has a great challenge, create a Christmas card without using the colours red or green.   This challenge also has a great sponsor, Bugaboo Digital Stamps and that means a great prize for one lucky person.

For my card I used a digital image from Bugaboo called Dottie Christmas Shop and chose to make the card in non-traditional shades of pink, gold and purple.  I coloured her with Copic Markers and glitter and added a star, ribbon and bells to make the card more festive.
Thank you for stopping by today.  Hope you will join in the fun and Holly Jolly this week.

Blown in the Wind

I have an upcoming swap with the Inky Fun stampers with a southwestern theme. In my stash I had this beautiful stamp by Terry Medaris called "blown in the wind".  I picked this stamp up on a trip to Arizona and had the pleasure of meeting Terry.

I used my Copic to colour the main image and my Panpastels to color the background.  To complete the card I drew a little design to frame the image.

Thank you for stopping to take a look and have a creative day.

I'm Late, I'm Late, I'm Late

Inky Fun Stampers has a great tag swap this month, Alice in Wonderland.  I chose to use a free digital image from Graphic Fairy  for my card.  They had many Alice in Wonderland themed but I liked the White Rabbit the best for this tag.

I layered my image on a scrap piece of mix media paper that I had in my stash. I made pocket watch by stamping my clock stamp on shrink plastic and adding colour before I completed the shrinking process. Next I added some colour with my Copic Markers and some sand for the ground. Finally I added a sentiment  and a beaded wire to hang the tag with.

Thank you for stopping by.

Merry Christmas - Pinecones

Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges' challenge this week is to create a Christmas card with nature in mind.  Lots of different cards come to mind such as poinsettias, pines, holly and Christmas trees.  I chose to use our sponsor Fred She Said Designs' pine cone spray for my card.  Fred has a great assortment of nature inspired digital stamps and is offering a great prize for one lucky winner.
Please Join...

Once I had arranged my images on the page the way I wanted I used evergreen distress ink to colour part of the card then added some Copic Markers on the pin needles and pine cones.  I then embossed a Merry Christmas in gold embossing powered and flicked some white acrylic paint to represent snow on the scene.  To complete the card I added some bling and layered the image over gold paper.

Come join us this week at Holly Jolly. Thank you for stopping to take a look.

This week at Come and Get It Challenges it is a card sketch challenge chosen by Meighan.  Here is her card sketch.

Bugaboo Digital stamps is the sponsor of this challenge and that means a great prize for one lucking participant in this challenge.

I like the sketch that Meighan chose and had fun making my card.  After I layered by different pattern papers I punched out a flower from several different  coordinating papers.  I added a long black, gray and white ribbon and a metal Dream sentiment tied with a ribbon.  Can you see the sketch on my card?

Thank you for stopping by tonight. Please join in the challenge this week.  Pop over the Come and Get It Challenges for inspirations from the other members of the design team.

I'm Thinking of You

I made this card for an upcoming card swap I joined.  The theme of the swap is white with a little of another colour of your choice.  I had been shopping on holidays and purchased some new die cuts and embossing folders that I used for this card. The sentiment and the butterfly are Spellbinder die cuts and the pretty butterfly embossing folder is by Darcie.  The sentiment "sweetness" is a stamp by Hero Arts.

Thank you for stopping by.

Imagination Has No Boundaries

This tag was made using a stencil, stamps and other mix media techniques.  The sentiment is a quote I found on Pinterest.  I thought it was so true that "the world of reality has it's limits but imagination has no boundaries".

I used a gold leaf pen on the die cut butterfly and tag base.  I added some crackle paint for interest along with the paper clip , inspire stamp and ribbon.

Thank you for stopping by tonight and have a creative week.

North Pole - Anything but a Card

Cindy has a great challenge this week at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges, anything but a card.  I love these challenges because they allow you to use your imagination and make things like Christmas gifts and ornaments.

I made this Christmas scene out of an old ornament bx which I spray painted white and added tea lights in the back so I could light up the scene. I trimmed the box with gold pattern paper.

The Santa and sleigh are digital stamps from Kenny K downloads that I coloured with Copic markers.    I added cotton balls for the snow and two die cut snowflake chains with bling to the bottom of the scene to add some sparkle.

Hope you have enjoyed my creation this week.  Pop over to the Holly Jolly blog to see the inspirational ideas of the rest of the Holly Jolly design team elves.  Hope you will play along with us this week.

The Stars and the Moon

This card was made for a card swap I joined with the theme Moon and Stars.    I love this digital image from my stash by Meljen's Designs called Dream.  I coloured the image with my Copics and added some gems for sparkle.

The background was made with a gelli plate, several stencils and acrylic paint. I love playing with mix media backgrounds.  To complete the card I added a dream sentiment and layered the image on a star die cut.

Thank you for stopping by today and have a creative day.

Colour Challenge at Come and Get It this Week

Cindy, one of the design team members this week chose a colour challenge this week at Come and Get it Challenges. Here is my card for the challenge.

Here are the colours of the challenge:

I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest by Brady's Cards called Flower Cascade.  I embossed the front of the card with a barbwire embossing folder.  I stamped my flower stamp several times on card stock in the colours of the challenge and then added them in a  cascade  design.

Hope you join in the challenge.  Hop over to the Come and Get it Challenge blog and see the inspiring work of the rest of the design team.
