613 Avenue Create - Anything Goes Challenge with Optional Twist of Winter Theme

Welcome back to the first challenge of 2023 at 613 Avenue Create.  We will have lots of fun this year, hope you will join in the fun.

This  month's challenge is anything goes with an optional of a winter theme.

I chose a winter them using an digital stamp by McMahon Five Designs.  I have used this digital stamp a few times and McMahon Five Designs sponsored a challenge years ago that I participated in.

I did a Google search and it appears that the company as not been active since some time in 2016.

I coloured the image with Copics and pencil crayons.  I added a very pretty glittered snowflake die cut over a pretty white and blue snowflake background paper.  The sentiment was created on my computer.

Thank you for stopping by and have a create year. Remember to pop over to our challenge blog to be inspired by our creative design team.

I am entering this card in the following challenges

A Place to Start - December Anything Goes Challenge/Optional Twist Happy Holidays

Time for another great challenge over at a Place to Start. This month challenge is anything goes with an optional twist of Happy Holidays.

I used this old mantle clock to create my  Christmas scene.

I used gesso on the old clock and added some snow I made by grading some Styrofoam  into some snow like pieces. The Scooter Santa is a digi from the collection of Christmas stamps by Power Poppy by Marcella Hawley  The snowman is a die cut from Tim Holtz Wonderland  die. I added a Christmas die cut sentiment, some small old Christmas ornaments and white Christmas  I found in a thrift store, and some Christmas bells from the dollar store.  My Santa was coloured with Copics and glitter.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful holiday and I hope you will join us in 2023.

613 Avenue Create - Anything Goes/ Optional Twist Up, Up in the Sky

Time for another great challenge over at 613 Avenue Create .  The theme of this challenge is Anything Goes /optional Twist Up, Up in the Sky. (Sun, Moon, Stars, Sleighs, Angels, Clouds, etc.)

This is the card I made for the challenge.  I chose a Christmas scene because  we are quickly coming up to the holiday season.

This is my card.

I used a cutting die for the three wise men scene. I used a embossing folder for the background of the card.  I cut my Christmas ball out with this beautiful cutting die then filled the areas with a gold piece for the star,  mixed media paper I had created that was in my stash.  I coloured the ground with my copic markers.  To finish of my card I added a bow.

Creative Artiste - Anything Goes Mixed Media - Encaustic Wax

Time for another great challenge over at Creative Artiste.

Our theme is always

"Anything Mixed Media Goes"

Please make sure you use multiple mediums on your projects.

Please respect that we do not currently accept Instagram or Facebook entries. Only correctly linked blog entries please.

This is my project for this challenge, an encaustic Christmas scene.

I painted my wood cradle with 4 layers of bees wax and then prepared a piece of rice paper by SkokArt Sister colouring the reverse of the paper with several colours of Pan Pastels. I used a yellow Pan Pastels to represent the light coming from the street lamps and building.

Next I fused the rice paper to the board with using bees wax. I added a few die cuts and findings to create my scene. I also rubber stamped some bricks and building texture to the picture along with die cut the choir scene and some Indian ink lines.  My final touches were the Merry Christmas, glittered star and Mars Black R & F pigment stick around the edges of the canvas.
