Happy Halloween

Time for another challenge at Crafty Cardmakers and the theme of the challenge is Halloween.  I decided to make a Halloween tag for the challenge.

I used Distress Inks sprays  and a rubber stamp by Stampenous called Raven Skull for the background.  I also used die cuts for the house, moon and witch. I coloured the moon and windows with sparkle pens by Sheena.

Altered Gourd Table Center Piece

It is time for another Mixed Media/altered art challenge at Bleeding Art Challenge Blog.  The theme as always is anything goes.  Create anything that you like as long as it meets the rules of the challenge.

I decided to alter a gourd from one of may I hauled back from Arizona's Running of the Gourd.

This is the gourd I started with

I first painted my gourd with gesso and then with Kroma Crackle. I painted my assortment findings with gesso. The next step was colour the gourd and findings with different colours of spray ink.  My finding included old floral leaves, gems, metal butterflies,  brooches, scarf pins, buttons, floral stones, belt parts ......

Here are some closers looks.

Time for another great challenge at Crafty Cardmakers.  This weeks challenge is add sparkle to your card.

I created this Christmas card using some Christmas paper from my scraps for the background along with a die cut Christmas ornament cut from white glitter paper.  The Happy Holidays sentiment is a Tim Holtz die cut with using Turquoise glitter paper.  To complete the card I just added ribbon.

When I saw this inspiring gold and white image I thought about this acrylic crown book that I had in my stash from Maya Road.

I painted, stenciled and inked the pages of my book and created my Fairy Princess book for a little one in my life.

I added some fairies, Crown, sentiments, stars, ribbons, keys and heart.

Here are a few of the inside pages

We have some fantastic prizes for some very lucky winners. Check them out on our Splashy Mix challenge blog.
