A note from Rachelle Anne Miller: I am an artist & designer living in the beautiful Adelaide Hills in South Australia with my husband and three amazing children! I love to create and am especially drawn to all things cute. I've worked on children's books, greeting cards, craft supplies, children's room décor, tech accessories, and more. I love to bring out joy and imagination in my art and create something a little different to inspire and make you smile.

The term “mixed media art” is a broad definition that covers many forms of arts and crafts, including collage, assemblage, altered objects, handmade greeting cards, artist trading cards (ATCs) tags and art journaling as long as you use different mediums.
The “mixed media” used includes paint, paper, pastes, sprays, powders, textural elements, clay, resins, fabrics, found objects, photos, metal, inks, pencils, markers and pastels to name just a few.
I had this sketch in my stash of unfinished projects and I thought it would make a good art journal page. I coloured the images with watercolour paint and added some butterflies and a sentiment that I have wanted to use for a long time. I splattered watercolour on my background, added a border and some stamped butterflies.

Time for another challenge over at 613 Avenue Create this month. The theme of the challenge is Anything Goes with an optional twist of / Floral Delight/Just add a Flower.
I chose this digital image from my stash for this card.
The image is from a digi company called Arty Pants. I have had the image in my collection since 2013 along with many others of their digi stamps. I do not think the company is still around. I have not been able to find any current information about them.
To colour my image I used my copic markers, pencil crayons, nuvo, and gel pens. I added a sentiment and some gems to give the antique flower scene some sparkle.
Thank you for stopping by and have a creative week. Remember to pop over to our challenge blog to be inspired by our talented design team.

Time for another new challenge at A Place to Start. The theme this month is anything goes. I would like to see what you are working on this month.
This month I decided to make a simple card using some of my gelli plate papers and adding a a stamped octopus. Unfortunately I do not remember the name of the company creating the stamp. That is the unfortunate part of stamps no longer on blocks. The good thing is the we have more room in our craft room for more product.

I choose to create an art journal page for this challenge using our sponsor's image.
For the background of my art journal page I created it using my gel plate and a stencil. I love the image of the the lady - part butterfly.
The image I found on the internet and the author is unknown. I think it is a beautiful saying.
The extra butterflies on the page are rubber stamps from my collection of stamps.

I have used a Polkadoodle digital image. Isn't she cute.
I just love this image, she is ready for summer. The image was coloured with Copics, pencil crayon, A Wink of Stella, white gel pen, and clear Nuvo. I added a flower and layer the image on some die cut papers from a paper pack called Momenta.
