Altered Coffee Container

Time for another mixed media challenge at Splashy Mixed Media Challenge.

Create any mixed media project with inspiration from our mood board and let us know what inspired you.  Love these colours together.

No photo description available.

This is my project, an altered container that I made using the inspiring mood board.

This is my container I started with.

I sanded my canister and removed the hardware then painted it with a coat of gesso primer. I added some designer paper from my stash in grey tones. Added some hand painted butterflies, splashes of yellow paint, handmade felt yellow roses, and created a top for the canister using the center of of a ribbon container and some paper flowers.  To complete the project I used ribbons and dollar store gems from my stash.

Here is another view of the project.

I am entering this project in the following challenges:

Christmas Canvas

This canvas was made for  our Christmas theme challenge at Crafty Cardmakers and our last challenge of 2019.

I made this Christmas canvas using several designer papers from Stamperia, it is their Make a Wish Collection.

To make my canvas I used a snowflake stencil and Ice Effect by Pentart on the paper I used for the base of my 12 by 12 canvas then layered pieces of other papers such as the tree and angel.  The houses were hand drawn on cardboard and layered with papers from the collection. The windows were cut with a die cut and the door was cut by hand.  The snow effect on the houses and tree is a Pentart product called snow paste. I added a twisted ribbon  in Christmas colours. I also used Pentart glitter pen, Nuvo Crystal Drops in white and clear and a  Merry Christmas die cut.

Thank you for stopping by. Hope you will join us in this Christmas challenge. Remember to pop over to our challenge blog to be inspired by our creative design team.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  See you in 2020.
