Altered Bottle - 613 Avenue Create

I am so excited that I have been invited to participate at 613 Avenue Create

The challenge for February is Anything Goes W/Optional Twist: "Heart and Soles" - use hearts or shoes in your design.

This is my project I made for my first challenge, an altered bottle.

This is the bottle I used for my project but part way through altering the bottle I decided not to use the original top I had for the bottle.

After adding gesso to  the bottle I stenciled an image using stencil paste on. The stencil was one from my stash by Seth Apter.  I painted the bottle with copper penny metallic acrylic paint.

I added gears, a metal flower and other findings which I painted with an  assortment of metal paints from Pentart and highlighted with gold Pentart Glamour paint.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative week Remember to pop by our challenge board to be inspired by our talented design team the head to you craft room and start creating and join us this month.

I am entering this altered bottle in the following challenges:

Altered Baby Shoes - Creative Artiste Challenge

We took a January break but we are now back for 2021 and it is time for another great challenge over at Creative Artiste this month.

As always the challenge is anything goes as long as you follow our rules.

Your project must be Mixed Media and can be an ATC, tag, card, layout, altered art or an off-the-page project as long as you follow the challenge specifications. You must use more then 3 different mediums on your project to qualify for our mixed media rules.

This is my project for February, an altered baby shoes.

These are the shoes that I found at a thrift store that I chose to altered.

Other Views of the project .

I also recycled a box  from my stash, a lace doily, pillow stuffing and some paper flowers.

The ballerina is a old photo from Tim Holtz's old photographs.

I first painted the shoes this gesso and added a coat of Kroma Crackle .

I used Pickled Raspberry Distress Oxide to add colour to the shoes.

The wooden box was sanded, had Kroma Crackle applies to the sides, stained with Tim Holtz stain walnut stain.
All of the flowers on the project were white in colour and I tea dyed them and the laced Doily to uniform the project.

The gems were from the dollar store and I also tea dyed them.

I had fun designing amd making the project.  Thank you for stopping by and have a creative week. Stay safe.  Hope you will join us this month  and pop by Creative Artiste to be inspired by our talented design team.
