Creative Artiste February 2025 - Mixed Media Challenge Blog

Time for another great challenge over at Creative Artiste

Our theme is as always

"Anything Mixed Media Goes"

Welcome back to our first Challenge Blog at Creative Artiste for 2025. Hope everyone had a very  Happy Holiday Season. I am really looking for to crafting with all of you this year.

Please make sure you use multiple mediums on your projects. Please respect that we do not currently accept Instagram or Facebook entries.

The term “mixed media art” is a broad definition that covers many forms of arts and crafts, including collage, assemblage, altered objects, handmade greeting cards, artist trading cards (ATCs) tags and art journaling  as long as you use different mediums.

The “mixed media” used includes paint, paper, pastes, sprays, powders, textural elements, clay, resins, fabrics, found objects, photos, metal, inks, pencils, markers and pastels to name just a few.

This is my project for February. I have created a mixed media wall hanging using pieces I have accumulated in my stash over the years.

Product I used for this wall hanging are:

a door knob plate

parts of a large belt made some different shaped metal decorations

another belt  that was made of many with different metal circles

Crackling paste

metal corners

several different ink and waxes

Dollar store gems

Thank you for stopping by and have  a creative week. Hope you will join us this month, we would love to see your mixed media projects. Remember to pop over to our challenge blog to be inspired by our talented design team.

613 AVENUE CREATE - FEBRUARY 2025 - ANYTHING GOES W/ OPTIONAL TWIST: LOTS OF LOVE

Time for another great challenge at 613 Avenue Create

As always the theme of this challenge is Anything Goes and for February
the optional twist, "Lots of Love"

I made this card for my husband for our 35th wedding anniversary. I looked through my mixed media scraps for a background paper that was not traditional for an anniversary wedding card.

I like to surprise him with something totally different than he was expecting. Along with the mixed media scrap of paper I used

an Italian love poem, love and a heart die cut from my stash, a round paper clip and a bow.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative month. Hope you will join this challenge this month. Just create your project and enter it here.

Remeber to pop over to 613 Avenue Create to view the  projects of our talented design team.

A Place to Start, February 2025 Challenge - Anything Goes w/Optional Twist: Things in the Sky

Time for another great Challenge at A Place to Start  and as always the theme is Anything Goes and our optional twist: things in the sky.

This is the card I made for this challenge.

The die cut Eiffel tower I used was a die cut from Sizzix and the designer pattern paper is from The Black Currant Stack by DCWV. The air plane rubber stamp is unmounted and maker is unknown.

I made this card for my hubby for Valentine's day. I had been thinking about our time in Paris when he took me to Paris, so long ago.
