Quietfire’s Hoppy Easter! Bunny Card
I created these bunnies for Quietfire’s Hoppy Easter! Bunny Card challenge. Quietfire provided a template for the bunny to be decorated as you wished. I covered one bunny in iridescent flakes and the other two bunnies I used Angelina’s “Hot Fix” fibers then added flowers, ribbon and eggs. Hop over to their blog and check out the other bunny creations. http://quietfirestyle.blogspot.com/
Card Gift Box
I created the card box by painting the box with gold, sienna and green acrylic paints and then added a few stripes of matching scrapbook paper trimmed with micro beads. I embossed the butterfly then coated it in gold, brown and green micro beads and for an extra touch a piece of driftwood was added for a side pull to open the box. I used the following producs on the box.
Micro Beads from Pennywise Arts
Cloisonné butterfly stamp by Michael Strong's Rubber Stamps
Tree stamp by PSX Stamps
Dream stamp by Studio K - Inkadinkado

Cloisonné Butterfly
I made this card for a card sketch challenge for the Yahoo Group "Enjoy Michael Strong Stamps". I love this cloisonné butterfly from Michael Strong's collection. I coloured the gold embossed butterfly with Tombow markers. I have a few of Michael's stamps and enjoy trying to come up with different ways of using them.
Now off to my craft room I go to clean up the mess I made.

Flowers say hello from the heart
This card that I created today is a card that was inspired by a card sketch I found cruising google images that directed me to creativelyyourssketches.blogspot.com. I thought it was an interesting sketch and had lots of possibilities. The products I used to create this card were:
Sentiment stamp - Hero Arts
Circle punch - Marvy Uchida
Flower punch - Martha Stewart
Border punch - EK
Small flower die cuts - Provo craft
The papers and bling etc used for the card were from my collections of stuff I have gathered over the years. Back to the craft room I go. I need to finish a couple of more cards that I am making for some upcoming card swaps.

Antique Travel Card
I was going for an old world look with this card. The background ledger paper came from a free downlaod on "Mel Stampz" blog. http://melstampz.blogspot.com
The building is from a picture I took on the banks of the Seine River when my husband and I were in Paris last year. I printed the picture on mylar paper to let parts of the ledger paper come through. The images were stamped with distressed inks in colours of old paint and old paper.
To give the eye glasses the look of glass I used Diamond Glaze. The stamps that make up the college are:
Just a Note - Rubber Stampede
Eye glasses - Life's Journey by Inkadinkado
Compass - Toy Box
World traveller - unknown
Well back to the craft room to see what trouble I can get into today.

Celebrating April
This April card is made with one of my favourite simple flowers the Sweet Pea. The card was inspired by a card a friend gave to me awhile ago. I love layering of textured papers and ribbons. I have had the unmounted April stamp set for nearly 10 years. The set consist of all the months, their flowers, flower name stamps, dragon flies, butterflies and other related stamps. I have never seen the set again and I believe the company that made the set is no longer in existence. Well back to my craft room to find another project or two.

My First Post
Well here it goes. This is my first post and the beginning of my new adventure in blogging. This card was created for an April Yahoo swap with the theme of the swap being embossing folders. The spring coloured card was created with a Cuttlebug embossing folders and Spellbinder die cuts. I coloured the embossed background and butterfly by sponging distressed inks in colours of chipped sapphire, tumble glass, and peeled paint. The sentiment is by Hero Arts.
