- Welcome to my crafting blog. After retirement, my husband and I moved to a beautiful location in the Okanagan area of British Columbia. I love all paper crafts including mixed media, journaling and cards. I also dabble in papermaking, photography, fibre art, and altered books. I am an active member of several card and mixed media groups and on the design team of several challenge blog. I love the world of blogging, it has opened many doors for me. My favourite quote is by Maya Angelou. “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” I hope you join me in my search for my creative side. Thanks for stopping by!

Wild One
Tonight’s card was created for a swap I am participating in with a theme of “Cat”. I created a jungle/lion card using a modified version of the easel card found on Splitcoaststampers.
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/easelcard/
I layered several different animal print papers, rolling and inking the edges and using my Big Shot to die cut the papers into different shapes. To make the easel card stand up by itself, I add two copper brads. The brads keep the card from closing.
Well back to my stamp room for more stamping.

Judy, Just had to tell you how much I like your easel card with the big cat on it! I just finished an easel card for my father in law's birthday and was thinking of doing an animal on the front. I didn't thought...used a castle instead. But for my next "guy" card, I hope to remember your great idea!!! Thanks so much for sharing! Hugs, Laura Holm
