Technique Thursday – Recessed Window

Hello fellow Crafters. It is my time to do a technique for Technique Thursday at Michael Strong's yahoo group, Enjoy Michael Strong Stamps and I decided to use the recessed window technique. The directions can be found on the Split Coast Stampers' web site:

I used Mike's small cloisonné tulip stamp for the inside of the window. I coloured the image with my markers and then added paper ribbons, butterflies, brads, bling and a sentiment to complete the card. I like the way the recess window makes the tulips stand out. Come join the fun at Enjoy Michael Strong Stamps.

My quote for today is by Earl Nightingale: "Creativity is a natural extension of our enthusiasm."

Have a creative day.

  1. So pretty! I like the "springtime" look of it...something to look forward to!!! Love the look of your recessed window! Thanks for the link to the tutorial!

  2. Judy, I LOVE this project. The tulips are beautifully colored and framed. The butterflies are a wonderful addition.
