If Pigs Could Fly

This is my project for March at Altered Eclectics.

This is how it looked before I altered the pig and box.  I purchased the little pig at a yard sale for 50 cents a long time ago.  The box was from my stash.

I coloured my pig and box with acrylic paint and then added some findings to the pig and coloured then with violet Inka Gold.  I had fun adding the details to the box and pig. I doodled on the pig and the word "Fly". The wings were silver angel wings that I added some brown acrylic paint and Inka Gold to the wings.  I cut the wings apart, added some wire so they would bend and attached them to the pig.

The gears on the box were die cuts that I also coloured with the violet Inka Gold. I glittered the edge of the box in a similar colour and added 4 large wooden beads for the legs in the box.

Here are a couple of different views.

Hi fellow crafters, this is  my card for the Lots of Layers challenge at Come and Get It Challenges.

Have a Creative Time

Thank you for stopping by, these are my projects for this weeks Not Just Cards anything goes challenge.  Lots of great sponsor this week with a lot of great prizes for the winners.

Duck Gift Box and Gift Card

My first project I created was this fun gift box with gift card.  This cute image is by Imagine That and contains so many different pieces to the set. This digital image is called  Gertie Goose.  You can check it out here. It is such a great set: three versions of Gertie and lots of  sentiments to go with the her.

I cut out this box I used from a die cut at my local scrapbooking store and added my Copic coloured Gertie and then made a small gift card to go with my box.   It was a quick simply project but I think it is a cheery little gift assemble.

Art Journal Page

My second project, art journal page was made with an image from another one of our great sponsors, Rick St. Dennis Digital Stamps  called Sadie.   I coloured the image with my watercolour crayons and charcoal pencil, and then used PanPastels and a couple of stencils for the background.

Remember to pop over the Not Just Cards Blog to see the projects of the other design team members.  Hope you will join us this week.  Have a creative day.

Celestial Goddess

This was my completed Project for this weeks challenge at Recycle, Re-Purpose and Re-Invent.

This is what I started with for my project although I did end up needing more cardboard.

I used one of CS Designs' digital stamps from the Celestial design stamps series called Celestial Goddess Montage Square.  I fell in love with this image.  I used this woven tray I had that was a tray that held a sliver plate and large candle. I thought it made a nice frame for the goddess. I covered that frame with some black and silver napkins I had and glues them down with gel medium.  The stars were cut out of the boxes I had then painted with silver paint. To give the stars more life I added some doodling.

The background of the image was coloured with Copic Markers and glitter. I cut out a second image of the face and layered it over the original image and coloured it with PanPastels.

The sentiment is also from CS Designs and is from the Stars and Celestial Sentiment digital collection. I think it is a very beautiful saying.

Thank you for stopping by to take a look and I hope you join us this week at  Recycle, Re-Purpose and Re-Invent.    Remember - We always allow Anything Goes but any project entered must still include recycling, or be re-purposed ot re-invented.

Love is in the Air

Thank you for stopping by.  This is my card for the Love is in the Air Challenge at Come and Get It Challenges this week.  I chose to use an image from on of our sponsors, Eureka stamps for my card.  The image is called Heart Angel  and I think she fits the challenge perfectly.

I cut out my card pattern using a Step Cards die cut from  Cheery Lynn for the base of the card along with some designer paper from my stash.  The image was coloured with copic markers and I added some heart die cuts cut from the same stack of pattern paper.

Come join our challenge this week. Just create your card and enter it here.

Welcome to Another Great Not Just Cards Challenge.

Thank you for stopping by, these are my projects for this weeks Not Just Cards "anything goes" challenge.  Lots of great sponsor this week with a lot of great prizes for the winners.   I am a snowbird and travelling California and Arizona with our 25 foot trailer so sometimes crafting can be a challenge especially getting a good picture of your project. Please note that the greener behind my pics are orange and lemon trees and they are loaded with fruit.

House Piggy Bank

My first project I created was this fun piggy bank with Whimsical House digital stamp by Bugaboo one of our sponsors this week.  My inspiration for the box was a pottery piggy bank I saw at the craft show a few weeks ago.

To make the piggy bank I used a  empty coffee filter box I had in my recycle box and wrapped the box with the image.  The image did not quite fit the box so I printed the image a couple of times and cut out some on the houses on their own to complete the penny bank look I was wanting to achieve.   I then took the extra plant pots for the roof of one of the houses and added them around the bottom of the project.  The houses were coloured with Copic Markers, a gelli pen and Panpastels. I created the top of the box in coordinating papers and die cut an opening to for the coins to be put in.

Bicycle Rider Planter

My second project was made with an image from another one of our great sponsors, A Random Fan, called Monet's Bike.  I think she is just so cute.  I found this  cute little fence planter at a garage sale, at least that is what I think it is and decided that it would be a great way of displaying the image.   I coloured the image with my Copic Markers and attached her to the planter, I then added a ring of paper inside the fence area to hide the yogurt container I used to hold the greener.  The greener came of a tree in the yard which I added some paper punched flowers to to give the project a little more interest and colour.

Recycle, Re-Purpose and Re-Invent from the Kitchen

This week my project for this weeks challenge at Recycle, Re-Purpose and Re-Invent.  The theme of the challenge is from the kitchen .

I decided to make some useful containers for our RV.  We have been snowbirds this year travelling the winter months in Arizona and California.   My pet peeve I have with my my dear hubby is that my table is always covered with his stuff (coins, hearing aids, eye drops, glasses etc).  It is getting in the way of my important crafting clutter.

This is what I started with  for my recycle project - from the kitchen.

I made these contains and decorated them with CS Designs Western Digital Stamps.  I thought these wonderful images were prefect for our RV,

I coloured my images and containers with Ink Intense Pencils,Uni-posca paint pen, Acrylic Paint Metallic Rub Ons and Distress Ink. The stars were cut out of the rice box, I used a an embossing folder to give the paper on the containers  some texture.

Remember!!! ... That at Recycle, Re-Purpose and Re-Invent they always allow Anything Goes but any the project you enter Must Still Include Recycling, or be Re-Purposed or Re-Invented.  I hope you will join in this challenge.  Pop over to the challenge blog and take a look at the projects of that other design team members have created to inspire you.
