This card was made for a card swap I joined with the theme Moon and Stars.    I love this digital image from my stash by Meljen's Designs called Dream.  I coloured the image with my Copics and added some gems for sparkle.

The background was made with a gelli plate, several stencils and acrylic paint. I love playing with mix media backgrounds.  To complete the card I added a dream sentiment and layered the image on a star die cut.

Easter Chick

I have exciting news, I am a quest designer for the next few months for Fred, She Said Designs. I look forward to the next few months of creating cards with the rest of the design team.

I am making Easter cards for my grandchildren right now and thought I would share this card I made using a Fred, She Said Design digital image called Easter Chick. The chick is so sweet in this design.

I used the easel card fold for the card and used the additional flowers from Fred's design to keep the front f the card in place.  I layered several pattern papers and coloured the card with my Copic Markers and a pink glitter pen.  The sentiment from Meljen Designs, I think it is a good compliment to Fred's design.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope your day is full of creativity.

Easter is Coming, Easter is Coming

My first Easter card for 2012 is for a card swap with a fun group of stampers called “Inky Fun Stampers”.  They have the greatest swaps.  I had fun creating this card with all the layers of spring colours.  This adorable “bunny love”  digi stamp was a freebie from Meljen Designs.  The sentiment stamp is also from their collection.  Check them out at:
If you are interested in great card swaps check out Inky Fun Stampers at:
I have spent all day in my craft room.  I guess tomorrow will have to be a housework day.

Party Time Tuesday Challenge PTT# 58

This week at Party Time Tuesday the challenge is to create a card with the theme of “riches at the end of the rainbow.”  Since I believe that it is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow (how original) I chose this cute digi from Meljen Designs called Leprechaun Gold for my card. I used a variation of the easel card for the base.  The pattern for the easel card can be found on the Split Coast Stampers web site:
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/easelcard/

I added colour to the image with my Copics and colour to the gold pieces with a gold glitter pen. Next I added some decorative gold pieces, a ribbon and some shamrocks to complete the card.  I think this card is ready to be sent to one of my grandson for St. Patrick’s Day.
Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my creation.  Have a creative day.

Centre Stair Fold Card - Come and Get it Challenges

Sunday is time for Come and Get it Challenges and my last weeks as one their guest designer. Their Challenges are posted every Sunday Morning and I am probably one of first to check them out on Sundays. Every week they change the type of card you make.

Week 1: Theme
Week 2: Color
Week 3: Sketch
Week 4: Technique
Week 5: Anything goes (if there is a 5th Sunday in the Month)

http://comeandgetitchallenges.blogspot.com/

This is week four and the technique is the centre step card. The directions for this card can be found on Splitcoaststampers web site.

http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/centerstepcard/

I had fun colouring this pretty digi called Cloe Snow from McMahon Five Designs with my Copics, covered my card stock with some paper from my stash of Christmas papers and adding several sizes of snowflakes I cut out with my punches and die cutters and added them with dimensional tape. I then added glitter and bling to give the card sparkle and a free sentiment from Meljen Designs complete the card. I think with just changing the sentiment this card could easily be a winter birthday card.

Well back to my craft room.

Thanks for stopping by.

It is Party time Tuesday - Sketch #42

The sketch posted at Party Time Tuesday this week was fairly detailed and took some time for me to come up with how I was going to interpret the design. I had a couple of pieces of alcohol inked papers in my stash that were the inspiration and I used them as background papers and for the Christmas tree. I then chose this cute elf digi from Mo’s Digital Designs and a flowering Christmas tree metal die cutter from Memory Box. I added ribbon, a free sentiment from Meljen’s Designs and bling to complete the card.

I like how the card turned out even though it is a little busy.

Autumn Blessing - Come and Get it Challenges

Autumn Blessing was the title of the challenge this week. I used a digi stamp from Meljen’s Design for this card along with co-ordinating autumn paper from my stash. I coloured the image with my Copic markers, added punched leaves and some glitter to accent the lovely colours. The sentiment and ribbon were added to complete the design.

Have a creative week.

Cute Card Thursday's Challenge 187 - Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word!

Cute Card Thursday’s theme this week is “I’m Sorry”. I used a digi stamp from a new company I just discovered called Meljen’s Designs to create my card.

http://shop.meljensdesigns.com/

I just love this digi stamp called Frog Prince. I coloured him with my Copic and Martha Steward metallic markers. I made his eyes bug out by adding a thick coat of Diamond Glaze to his eyes. To complete the card I used a sentiment stamp by Stamping Up, bling, ribbon, button and a flower made with the my new Tim Holt’s Tattered Flowers die cutter. I love the way he turned out, very colourful.

Have a creative day.
