Welcome to my crafting blog. After retirement, my husband and I moved to a beautiful location in the Okanagan area of British Columbia. I love all paper crafts including mixed media, journaling and cards. I also dabble in papermaking, photography, fibre art, and altered books. I am an active member of several card and mixed media groups and on the design team of several challenge blog. I love the world of blogging, it has opened many doors for me. My favourite quote is by Maya Angelou. “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” I hope you join me in my search for my creative side. Thanks for stopping by!

Their Story

Time for another great challenge at Rhedd's Creative Spirit this month. The theme is as always Altered Art/ Mixed Media.   I found this old picture of my dad (the tall handsome young man on the right) with his brother and sister.  I think it was taken about 1940.  I decided to make an altered clipboard using the picture.

I used a collection of  different findings, paints, inks stamps etc for my collage.   It was a lot of fun building the project.

Some of the products I used were acrylic paints, an old tape measure, drywall tape, stamps , metal keys and lock, metal rose. stencil by Andy Skinner, assortment of papers, crackle paint, gears and clogs.

  1. What a terrific way to use your treasured image Judy. Clipboards are so versatile too as to where you can put them and how you dress them up as you have done so well with this one.
