About Me

Okanagan, BC, Canada
Welcome to my crafting blog. After retirement, my husband and I moved to a beautiful location in the Okanagan area of British Columbia. I love all paper crafts including mixed media, journaling and cards. I also dabble in papermaking, photography, fibre art, and altered books. I am an active member of several card and mixed media groups and on the design team of several challenge blog. I love the world of blogging, it has opened many doors for me. My favourite quote is by Maya Angelou. “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” I hope you join me in my search for my creative side. Thanks for stopping by!

Altered Paint Brush

Time for another mixed media/altered art challenge at Rhedd's Creative Spirit

This is what I started with. a mirror base and an old paint brush.

Then I added

rust paint - Deco Art
Tie - spoon handle
Outer Eye - striker plate lock set and old brad
Eyes - Clock Brad
Bow - Tie Holtz die and paper
Nose - Knob from a temperature control device
Earrings - a plate for a camera adjustment and part of a clock mechanism.

Some other view of the project.

It was fun making my altered paint brush.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative day.  Hope you will stop by our challenge blog to be inspired by our creative design team.  This is the last challenge at Rhedd's Creative Spirit, our wonderful leader Sandra has decided after 5 years that she would like a change, she has been an inspiring artist and a good friend.  We wish her the best and I know we will see her art  in blog land.
