This is my project for June, an Altered metal bird house.
This is the very old metal bird house a neighbour had given me to alter. I added a coat of gesso to the house before I started to colour the house.
I decide to make a fairy house out of the metal bird house. For my inspiration for the colour of my fairy house came from some Graphic Fairy paper I had in my stash.
Once I had the house painted I coated the house with a layer of Tim Holtz's
Idea-ology tissue wrap.

I decided to give the fairy house an ambarella roof with a fairy on top. The silhouette fairy are die cuts from my stash.
Side Views
The door, window and frames were findings from my stash. I added some dotted details using a white marker and white Nuvo and some glitter paint to give the house some sparkle.

ReplyDeleteOMGoodness there is so much to look at here Judy. It has taken me an age to lokk at every little bit and you never cease to amaze me with your MM talent. This one realy is a masterpice. So striking in those bold colours and all the elements just fit in perfectly.
