Welcome to my crafting blog. After retirement, my husband and I moved to a beautiful location in the Okanagan area of British Columbia. I love all paper crafts including mixed media, journaling and cards. I also dabble in papermaking, photography, fibre art, and altered books. I am an active member of several card and mixed media groups and on the design team of several challenge blog. I love the world of blogging, it has opened many doors for me. My favourite quote is by Maya Angelou. “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” I hope you join me in my search for my creative side. Thanks for stopping by!

Prize ~ 2 Digital Images

Prize ~ $10 Gift Certificate

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

This is my project, an art journal page Using Ike's Art digital image

I had fun with this art journal page because I decided to use one of my Citra Solv /National Geographic pages as my background to the project.

I have a stack of pages in my stash that I had made a long time ago.  Working on this piece got me interested in the procedure all over again.

This is what my altered page looked like before I made my project.

I decided to scan the image and create my project on a copy of the image.  I was originally going to use the original but the other side of the paper also had a beautiful design made by the Citra Solv. I also decided to make the image a little larger so that it fit in my art journal.  I have save many pages that I have made with this process and with my gel plate to use on future projects.

I added the Pan Jaun image to the page after I coloured it with
copics. I added  stamped butterflies, birds, and rabbits to create a scene. I tried to create more depth to the project with with black and with charcoal pencils.

Pan Jaun in ancient Greek religion and mythology was the god of the wild, shepherds and flocks, nature of mountain wilds, rustic music and impromptus.

I tired to reflect this in what I added to the art journal page in stamps and  words.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative week.  Remember to pop over to Crafty Gals Corner to check out the projects of our talented design team.

Hope you will join us this week for the " One for the Boys" challenge.
