Love Making Backgrounds with Citra Solv

July is here and time for another great Challenge over at Creative Artiste
Our theme is always

"Anything Mixed Media Goes"

Please make sure you use multiple mediums on your  projects.

This is my project for the month of July.

I used Citra Solv on National Geographic papers to create my background for my project.  I torn several piece from different prints to create a pleasing background for my project.  I coated my project and glued my paper down with Gloss
Medium.

My next set was to add some stamped details to the paper using Rangers Archival ink in black to tie the different papers together. The stamp I used was Indigo Blu Bubbles Background.

Closer look

The Steampunk man is a rubber stamp by Prima, part of the Bloom collection by Jamie Dougherty.  The man is called Quentin. I used Quentin's face but I added my own background of gears, clock and steampunk accessories in wood or foam cut with a die cutting machine. I also used a wire to run from his monocle and small copper coloured gears on his tie. .

The gears etc were either painted with Pentart paints or embossed with  Deep Impressions Chunky embossing enamels by Stampendous.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative week. Remember to pop over to Creative Artiste to be inspired by the creativity of the design team.  Hope you will join us this month. Hope you will join us this month.  an ATC, tag, card, layout, altered art or an off-the-page project as long as you follow the challenge specifications. You must use more then 3 different mediums on your project to qualify for our mixed media rules.

I am entering my project in the following challenges

The Corrosive Challenge - Anything Goes

  6. Quentin makes quite an impression. Handsome and rugged looking. Your background of gears and cogs are fabulously rusted. Those papers really come together greatly with the bubble stamping. He does give us the impression that he is exceptionally amazing.
